I'd say yeah nice for a visit but 24/7... ahhhhhhhhhh lol.
No I'm sure if it's yours it'd be much easier to put up with.
But the baby talk thing is entirely required otherwise they'll never learn how to speak or even understand how to hear sounds properly.
Is quite funny to watch my dad who is quite the hard nut with a baby, baby talk all the time. :p

| I'd really like to work in labour and delivery, but I can see myself internally being very annoyed by the type of women who carry on excessively about their labour. Lol. Something to work on I suppose. :p |

lol i love my niece and nephew but my sister is dispicable. she's fat and lazy and all she does is buy them , feed them and plop them in front of TV and then make excuses for being fat by saying things like, "i have 2 kids" or "wait till you have kids" (with an exasperated look on her face like she is wondermom). she makes me sick.

sorry i just got back from visiting them last weekend and she pisses me off. her kids are so smart and advanced for their age and it's a goddamn waste just raising them on spongebob and nascar. my niece is only 1 1/2 and she is already able to repeat any word you say without messing it up, she can look at a picture and then point to that person without you even asking...she just recognizes and watches everyone. i dunno maybe that's normal i dont have kids but it seems pretty advanced for being 1.
oh yea and they sleep in her bed with her husband too. i dont think my neice has slept one single night in her own bedroom since she was born. it's like what the is my sister thinking? did she just wake up one day and say, "i think i'll have some kids and then do EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE THING you're NOT supposed to do when raising them":gsmile: |

Uh oh. I detect a high liklihood of not being able to leave the nest until age 35, and 50 phone calls a day from mom to the cell phone during the teenage years because "she's worried" and wants to know what they're doing. |

for sure dude. it's not looking good i say that all the time to my mom. my nephew is gonna be a little fag mamma's boy or something. i really hope not though he is so funny and cool. you never know. there are a lot of kids who have some ed up lazy parents and they end up at yale or something anyway...i have hope lol |

Nah dude, by 15 months they should be able to use simple expressive language and say things like yes and no, and be able to recognize/ask for things by pointing to them. At 18 months they should have a vocabulary of about 10 words, and then by 24 months they should have about 300 words. Girls usually express language earlier than boys. But they catch up. |

why don't you find out from her husband what he thinks of all this. he might be able to tell her nicely, he probably understands your feelings and probably thinks his wife is nuts. finding an ally is key...

yea but she is around 16 months i believe and she points to things and says "mommy look" and then my sister will say what it is and she'll just repeat it like nothing...gets it right the first time every time. and then later on she'll see it again and say the word. that's more like what i meant. is that still normal or a little advanced? i think it sounds pretty in advanced for still being in diapers. but what do i know, i dont have kids lol
my mom said i was speaking full sentences at 2 and jumping off the diving board and swimming in a pool at 3. |
