WOW that is ridiculous!
Way to reward the uneducated!!! Meanwhile people that work hard, pay a load for schooling and eduction get shafted.
I understand that being the driver it might be a tough job, but ...100k give me a break. Making burgers at McDonalds at rush hour is a hard job too, but you dont see them paying 100K+. What is wrong with the drivers making 50k?
This gets me sooo frustrated! :whip: |

People pay a load of money for a higher education so they can one day earn that kind of coin. What's the average education of a TTC worker I wonder? |
I'm so glad to know that after 65,000 in school debts I'll be making 58,000 a year while these twats make 100k to sit and take change while their ass cheeks turn into pancakes. |

Have you guys any idea of how much OT they have to put in to make that much???
Someone who spends that much time at work should be paid accordingly...
And don't start bashing unions as a whole...
They're not all evil...
plus I'm pretty sure that drivers do make more that collectors... |

Off Topic
because these guys are NOT the best of the best, but one thing that pisses me off about people who have a "higher" education bitch about not being paid more than so and so etc is the fact that you all have really done all in the real world and think you deserve an extraordinary amount of pay because you went to Western...
A select few of Masters grads and pretty well any PhD deserves that luxury of a 100k + salary
For bachelor grad's...you stuck to something, read books, passed tests and proved that your able to start and finish a project, in this case it likely took 4 years... |

What makes me laugh is the fact that these "uneducated" people you hate who get ahead are skilled....construction, plumbers, electricians, sales people....
in alot of these trades there is also no such thing as 9-5...
it's as if this article was about 3rd generation alcoholic welfare recipients driving Bentley's |

Drivers, okay, but station collectors? Jesus titty-in' christ, I think I'd actually rather see the money go to homeless derelicts, because they'd actually spend it on something useful like food or crack.

Ticket collectors are not a skilled trade.
And I don't think that people necessarily mean college when they say "education". Skilled trades often have to get some sort of theoretical education AND do years of apprenticeship AND take a bunch of exams to get their licenses. That's education. |

I mentioned earlier that a ticket collector didn't fall into that category...I get what your saying, but a typical compliant i've heard many times is usually from a 4 year program grad about skilled or trades people making an X-Amount. |

As diginut already explained... I am not talking about just college people. Construction, electricians, plumbers, etc... are not what i am complaining about.
I mean please... being a ticket attendent or driving a bus is not a trade/skill at all. |
