Yup, all of these suggestions sounds great to me too.
my comments on the raffle: I dread that time of night because the music stops...and it's a bigass buzz kill. ...unless you win the raffle I guess :)
I don't think anyone actually goes there for the $1,000 raffle. |
I've seen people leave right after the raffle. :sadgreen: |

- Bring in some HOUSE DJs for the upstairs loft or back room.
- Maybe some Prog House in the backroom. :toocool:
I think that's all from me for now. :toothless |
For the side/back room/dancehall we will be bringing in guest DJs that play tech-house like Bryan Hustle & Nic Fiorina from Beatfreaksradio.com, Josh Hartley (tech-house/electro house) who just played with Donald Glaude @ Wave House in SD, and other funky tech-house DJs. Last week, I played some tech-house, progressive house, and electro house that people seemed to rock out to. Circus is mostly a trance club and that's what people seem to enjoy there so that's why some nights we have played trance. On some nights, you have to because the crowd is so obsessed with trance. The past few weeks we have been playing mostly tech-house, techno, and electro house. Joseph Mordeno has been playing mostly progressive house lately and last week it was a tech-house set. DJ Fraud closed it out with some electro house. The artists I enjoy playing right now are Alex Kenji, Paul Thomas, and new Wolfgang Gartner (NOT ELECTRO) stuff which are on the hard, funky, progressive, tech-house tip. You might call it rolling, hands up, tech-house. That's what I will be playing this weekend. |

I have a couple friends who probably would not go to Circus if not for the $1000 raffle. |

| Some cool lighting in the side room would be awesome. |

if a person goes to a club for any reason other than to enjoy the music, then that's just ed up. it ruins it for everyone; especially the vibe. |

i did like what you guys were playing at your room. please keep it that way :) and i applaud you guys for booking guest djs. hopefully, next time, you'll also be able to book bigger named djs for the sideroom. ask for the main room budget! rather than doing a trance double-header, get a tech headliner for the sideroom. |

Thank you, Gerard. We will be keeping the same style of music and we are working on getting a bigger budget for the side room so we can book headliners and make sure all the djs are getting paid what they are worth. We're going to have you soon too :D |

I know CIRCUS management has been reading this and will continue to do so! :)
So... IMO...
- STOP giving away $1000.00! :whip:
- Invest the money on a good sound guy! :whip:
- Get other DJs, well known DJs! No need to recycle the same DJs or at least not that soon. ;)
- KEEP TRANCE in the MAINROOM! :D
- Bring in some HOUSE DJs for the upstairs loft or back room.
- If you're going to keep Hip-Hop, put them in that other room behind the curtains!
Guys that come for hip-hop don't know what "NO" means!
- Maybe some Prog House in the backroom. :toocool:

She speaks the truth! |
