Can we get this thread back on topic. Lets just ignore crono for a bit, he's had his fun.
EDIT: I'm putting Acton's name on their because he already nominated himself. I think diginut did something similar.
If we wind up with at least 4 mods, I'd be prepared to be one of them, I'm personally in favour of having at least 4 to keep the workload down for all of them. I'm not happy to be only one of two though, don't have the time. |

Damn, we don't need 4 mods. 1 is enough. Later if it turns out more are needed, then we could get another.
It would take me 10 minutes to straighten this forum out, then 5-10 minutes every day. Its not that hard really. Ive been moderator on several forums, I wouldn't describe it as work. Though it depends on the forums software really, most forums simply have a "delete post" button. So its not hard to take care of things. Also, there are only a handful of topics going on here at any given time.
4 Mods is just drastic overkill. Besides that you only have 5 people willing to be mods. |

Well, I think Cryo and RANN were also up for it? But I'm not 100% so didn't add their names to the list.
And I think 4 is good. each mod should just clean as they go, they shouldn't feel obligated to log in every day, but they should be confident that SOMEONE will log in every 2 days and clean the place up a bit if needed. |

Well, the people you listed log in every 4 hours or something it seems, lol.
Ive seen much large and more active forums get by with 3-4 mods for the whole forum. We however, are talking about one tiny section of the forums on TA. |

Thanks kit - I really appreciate the nomination!
Not that I think I'm even a good choice, but unfortunately, because of the nature of my work there can be extended periods where I'm not active on here few a few weeks so I don't reckon I can monitor the forum as well as some others could.

OK, fair enough, I'm pretty much the same, thats why I'm not pushing for myself to be made a mod. So is cryophonic still interested then? |

I think any moderator will be gone in periods, but if there was for example 2-4 mods in total it should be enough to cover the forum, its not that active.
So id say people with tight schedules can very well be a mod. |

Yeah, if there were 4 or so mods I'd put my name in. I'll start a poll to see how many we want, then a poll to see who they should be in a couple of days.

| You guys are still talking about this, despite the fact that you guys have no clue on the TA website policies? Ive never seen a site where random users came up and elected someone as a mod, and it was allowed that by other mods. I think everyone is wasting time. If they choose anyone as a mod, they will probably pick someone [or rather, it will be wise if they did] who doesn't have a record of fighting and or disruption. And someone who they already know. You guys do not fit either of those qualifications. |
