I don't see them as attacking me, I see them as posting stuff that pretty much makes no sense, and then I'm guessing...because of their reputation, people just blindly agree with them, and most of the time I'm like "WTF mate?"
Refer to the Mozart thread.
When I say pack my , meaning, as soon as either of them get any kind of power, their first stop will be the "ban cronodevir" button. lol. Which is why I said give them mod powers, without the ability to Ban or G-Ignore.
Diginut is mad because frankly he doesn't have any substantial argument against me, and always gets mad for some reason at that fact, and DJ RANN thinks I'm a Nazi [literally]...so you do the math. |

I think there should be enough mods so that not one person has the last say. And the only thing they should be moderating is tact. If someone says something no matter how silly in a polite manner, it should be left alone unless blatantly not related to the discussion at hand. And threads that are off topic should not be closed because that is the nature of a message board. Threads always veer off topic.
and chrono is right. He does say some stupid sometimes but everyone that has been here a while should at least be given the benifit of the doubt like your retarded cousin with tourrettes(wasn't refering to cronodir). Banning should be a last resort after many many warnings. unless the person is brand new. |

To the extent that I've spoken on their behalf, that's about all I'm willing to. My recommendation for them stands. I'm not sticking up for them because of their "reputation". I'm sticking up for them because, on balance, what they have posted has been correct and verifiable, through either my own experience or outside sources.
That's it. Discussion over (as far as I'm concerned). I'm sure they're perfectly capable of sticking up for themselves, here-after.
For what it's worth, you pretty much have yourself to blame for whatever impressions you've made here. If you can't see how you've contributed to that, then I'm not sure what else there is to say. I have found some of your arguments to be ridiculously absurd and offensive but thought better than to become involved pointing it out since the inevitable hair-splitting conundrum you seem to employ on your interlocutors is just another rabbit-hole that tragically diverts yet another thread.
Reply to this, or not, but if I have more of the same to argue against there's only a very scant chance you'll see my reply to it. I like you, and have even vouched for you, in this thread, but I hardly see the point in discussing how you should be allowed to argue, "For instance, in America the media likes Homosexuals, and the media thinks they should get married. Despite the fact that in 49 [maby 48] states, homosexuality is still considered a mental illness, and its illegal. But because the media gives such a tiny tiny tiny minority of people so much coverage, it actually becomes a crime to speak out against it." |

That's not true Chrono on several levels. I think the reason some of it makes no sense you is that, by your own admission, you only care for what works for you in your particular environment and specific needs. You have zero empathy for another persons situation and do not care to try. What makes this slightly worse is that what works for you is, in my professional and personal opinion, very strange and far from the norm of nearly all people and setups I have come across in over a decade in this industry and genre.
I don't think you're a nazi at all - I think you sometimes say incredibly inflammatory things just to get a reaction, even if it's not true or right and therefore I end up taking a lot of what you say with a very large pinch of salt.
Finally, I also think you say things before thinking about their meaning and how someone else might perceive them - it goes to the empathy (lack of it) thing again. You also never consider the possiblilty that you're wrong or that there is another valid viewpoint on the situation, even when a multitude of well educated and experienced people are telling you so.
All it means is that I, along with several other people here, don't take you seriously as you could if you came across a bit more reasoned/logical/thoughtful/etc.
I too hope you do stay around because everyone has a right to air their feelings and opinions and some of the things you bring up have discussive merit and depth even if they are leftfield and IMO not correct or the best way of working for anyone else other than your self.
I really don't think you'd get banned Chrono - I'm pretty sure judging by the past few months you'd have got a "stay on topic" here or there and probably a warning for the offensive stuff about jews dying just to get a reaction but I don't really know any other forums that wouldn't? |

Adultery is still illegal in Michegan. It is illegal to wear a fake moustache in a church in Alambama. Akansas allows a man to "beat his wife yet only once per month". In california, It's illegal to eat an orange while in the bathtub.
I can go on and on. Doesn't mean these state laws have any relevance today or that anyone should pay attention to them.
Try to remember that for a particular minority not so long ago, drinking from certain fountains was illegal, as was sitting on certain seats on a bus. You get where I'm going right?
Well, the media followed that case pretty hard even though people back then probably would have felt it was wrong. I'm glad it's a crime to insight hate against a minority - aren't you? |

There's a difference in speaking your mind and trying to insight hate in others.
In denmark they allow peadophile appreciation groups because of their extreme free speech laws, and a lot of police time and money goes in to protecting those groups. I personally think there is limit to free speech when it damages or endangers a particular group of people.

Isn't the age of 18 arbitrary? I think so, puberty means the person is able to reproduce, puberty doesn't happen at 18, it happens long before. Plus given the fact that sex in the society starts at around age 10 among kids. It seems the problem is with "consent" laws rather than people want to have sex with a 15 year old. Besides, isn't the motto for gay marriage "two consenting peoples?"...if a 15 year old and a 38 year old both consent, then where is your issue? If you want to say 15 is too young to be able to consent to that action, then I need to know what you are basing the age of 18 as the "age of consent" on? |
