at least we don't believe in a flying spagetti monster :p

After all, your world doesn't follow any rules, or so you believe. You don't consider logic as a standard, so anything you say is meaningless, words themselves have no meaning for you then. Fledz and Mysticalninja believe a rock has 50ghz CPU power, because they don't believe in logic, its possible for them. Wow, interesting. In their world, .mp3 codec can process above 0db too. Its amazing you can even function, for people who do not believe in logic.
Mysitcal ninja and fledz believe logic is an arbitrary system that they can or cannot choose to use. They go through life with the mentality of "nothing HAS to be logical, because logic is an arbitrary system."
If logic is just some arbitrary system, why are you even speaking? Communication requires a set in stone form of logic to function. You formulate a thought and you use your mouth to communicate that thought. In your world, words don't need thoughts.
You guys are so pathetic I don't even want to talk anymore. Good day. |
No, i'm saying does have to be logical, that's why i don't believe in intelligent design. all animals have different levels of logic that they can comprehend, including us. not everyone can grasp relativity and quantum physics..

Saying that the one that made the universe, doesn't exist, is denying logic. The universe had a start, and it didn't start itself.
|
If you can claim that, i can claim god had a start, and he couldn't of started himself. |

I'm pretty sure that that is only the popular view of it by people who don't really understand it. which is probably most people. i know this a common misconception, but no more than that.. well i know that it isn't actually an explosion, and it only 'banged' to about the size of a watermelon, and grew slower from there.. it wasn't even originally called the big bang theory, it was the 'primeval atom' theory.. this guy mocking it on radio gave it the big bang name and it just stuck. the big bang isn't a theory that nothing exploded.. It says there was something there before the bang, and doesn't say anything about the origin of that. It doesn't try to explain everything. perhaps someone can confirm and expand? ill have to ask me uncle, he is a physicist.
also, isn't the popular view of creationism that god made "everything magically poofed in and of itself, into existence."? how come you don't use this logic against yourself
If you believe in god.. doesn't that mean you believe EVERYTHING is a created thing? EXCEPT god for some reason lol.. but why?
also... where do you get these facts about the creator? do you sometimes talk to him?
man.. i thought i would never get in another religious debate. i've been doing it since i was twelve on aol chatrooms. i thought i got over it years ago. |
Honestly I used to be very headstrong against any sort of religion or anything but over the past two years I have seen the light so to speak. I still disbelieve in church and organized religion, but I do believe there is a creator and someone much bigger and more powerful than we can even imagine. If anyone's interested I can give my proof. |

You don't believe in logic...so for all you know I could be a talking rock with 14 ears and a jellybean nose. And what exactly is it that you do anyway? I'm a scientist. I'm around scientists all ing day and well schooled Doctors for crying out loud. I'm used to very technical and theoretical discussions. Speaking with you about anything is like talking to a monkey because you don't grasp the notion that you can be wrong about something.
The rest of us are far more logical and fact based than you ever will be. Do us all a favour and stop posting. |

Haha some of those advices seriosly made me crack up.. I dunno what to say really... high-pass the kick at 70 hz? In edm the kick generally sits lower than the bass mate. If you wanna highpass anything it should be the bass, or atleast make a cut on the bass where the lower end of the kick is (generally 40-60 hz), so they don't conflict.. The bass is continously shifting in freq, while the kick allways stays the same, hence you should eq the bass to fit the kick and not the opposite. |
In certain instances I will eq the kick at 70ish hz in which I have a big bassline. The kick doesn't have to be the loudest thing in EVERY mix. This is not commonplace advice but it does have its time and place. |

Logic precedes observation.
Something that must logically be, doesn't need observation or science to prove that it is the way it is. Logic is not dependent on science, to prove itself. Science is dependent on logic, other wise it wouldn't function.
So if logic dictates X, then X must be, and science, superstition, what ever we come up with, cannot change X. What can be seen vs what cannot be seen by humans currently, isn't relevant.
If you consider logic to be without standard [you think it changes] then you have no basis for the scientific method. You have no basis for your reasoning, in fact, all functioning would collapse. And you cannot use a system that is illogical, or goes against logic, to try to prove that something else is logical. Just like you can't prove something absolutely when one of your tools to prove it is only a theory.
People cannot grasp basic logic, and everyone wonders why there is friction between some members on this forum? |
You realize that science helps to build logic right? Without science/math there'd be no way to measure amounts of logic or if something is logical or not. |

But regardless, logic still dictates there is no god. |
Care to explain this? I wholeheartedly disagree. FWIF I used to hold your beliefs as my own. |

How do you know that? Go look at that picture, that is the farthest we have ever seen. We have seen no limit. |
Just because we can't see/hear things doesn't mean it's infinite. Just because we can't count the whole lot doesn't mean it's infinite. Unless you divide by zero nothing is infinite. Everything we can count but is too much to count is referred to as infinite. Infinite is a relative value (thus not a value at all) which is brought to life to make humans able to comprehend.
Interesting topic this is. I actually agree with Cronodevir on the statement that infinity does not exist. Unless you divide by 0 :p. |

Agreed.. I'm just asking how he knows an infinite amount of something can't exist. and pointing out that we haven't seen the end of the universe yet. I'm really not even sure how infinity came up, since the big bang says the universe is finite anyway. |
