But when you've got a tune you're working on playing in the back-ground waiting for a new bass-line, because the one you had before was a completely cheesy mess, posting actually helps!

All I told you is that 2048 samples (which is what you swear by for some bizarre reason and please, please spare us all from going to again) is not the norm or a the best way of working. If you use samples and midi, god forbid any recording, it is totally inappropriate.
Also "10 sample" latency is virtually impossible.
Around 10ms latency is generally accepted to be a decent benchmark of performance vs latency which happens to be 512 samples.
Palm is right. Get your facts straight and stop posting BS. |
Its the norm for hardware users, hardware users aren't the norm however. If someone is using only software [the majority] then it is perfectly normal to use high latency. Your posting random bull you don't really know anything about DJ RANN, as usual. Stop reading T.nu or where ever it is you get your information, and actually go see what software users are doing.
Like I said, be careful about DJ RANN and Diginut. They like to complain, lie, and provide misinformation. |

| It is the norm for software users as well. How can you claim to be the norm when you use your on board sound chip? That isn't the norm for producers. |

Because I don't use hardware. Why would I need a sound card? Sounds cards don't make "sound better", they improve latency. Latency is specifically a hardware problem. Besides that, pretty much all laptops use onboard sound, so what is the difference? |

Are you serious? lol
If you dont understand the benefits of an audio interface then maybe you shouldn't be producing?

| Audio Interface is a pretty general term, what are you referring to? The sound card software? I have the RealTek HD Audio Interface. Its pretty spiffy. It has built in FX too. And pretty spiffy audio device routing. And any hardware I might use is USB. |

That wasn't the point. The point is that your adherence to such high latencies is not the norm even with people using software which is in direct contradiction to your claim. I mentioned the internal sound card bit as it further undermines your argument because it again shows that you have no idea what most people use. |

"Audio interface?....What are you referring to?"
"I have a realtek, it's pretty spiffy"
"why would I need a soundcard"
"cards don't make soundbetter"
Simply Hilarious. You truly know absolutely nothing about audio technology - you've just pointed it out for everyone to see, better than I ever could. (and you still didn't correct yourself about getting samples and ms confused proably because you don't know the difference).
Oh yeah, post my quote or stfu. Still waiting...... |

It is what most people use. Most people don't/won't spend money on all the hardware, so they get the software from bitorrent or where ever and just use what they got. Most people who do it don't make quality music. But there isn't an extrapolation between using hardware and quality music, because most commercial trance these days is made on hardware, and most of it is . |

Really dude, you are more unpredictable and random than anyone I have met, one moment your calm, and the next you are typing in all caps and calling on the slaughter of millions of straight men all at once because you feel insufficient. And you seem to enjoy having that title of "The Guy who called out CronoDevir on the internet" I'm sorry that is the best achievement you have in your life. |
