awwww, how long were you guys together before he popped the question? |
We're not married yet but we've been talking about the beginning of next year (backyard wedding!! haha) I just always call him my hubby cause he might as well be. The only thing that's missing is that my last name changes ;) We had a list of reasonable expectations to have prior to getting married (living together for x amount of time, putting finances together, meeting families, discussing future, etc) and so far, so good! We never argue (and people who say it's boring to never argue clearly don't have a good sex life :stongue: )
//edit
Our guest list is about 27 people :gsmile:
Oh, and to answer your question (lol) the serious marriage talk (like are we going to do this or what) came around in March-ish - like a little over 1.5 years together? |

Everyone does. Doesn't help that we refer to each other as "hubby" or "wifey" or "the old ball and chain" or "the boss" or "mama" :thepirate |

| Really? What do you think is missing? Are you not on track for something or do you not know what you want...? |

i dunno, without getting to deep into it.. my life is basically.. go to work.. do whatever needs to be done until 5pm.. go home and do whatever needs to be done to make me forget about work.. what i need or want is generally a side issue |

This has actually been a sore topic that has strained my marriage. My wife and I have different projects going on on top of our day jobs and our new life together. |

| But that's a good thing. You SHOULD have your own separate lives, and then your lives together. If you can't be happy by yourself... you can't be happy together. |

I totally agree with this. You have to have outside of your marriage/relationship to keep you busy. It makes you cherish and enjoy the times you have together. |
