damn.. :eek: i dont think id feel comfortable wearing such a delicate ring everyday & im washing dishes & cleaning the litter box :wtf:
i think ever since i was little i've always wanted just a white gold band but very thin & delicate. nothing fancy but its still pretty imo. :p |

hmmm... no not really. she gets a lot of compliments but it hasn't got to the snide point; I guess because it's not gaudy in size.
My best friend's mom has a 5 karat boulder on her finger and I've seen it happen many times to her though... comments in the background where you can hear other women saying "there's no way that's real," in a condescending way. haha.. that is annoying. |

| my dad's wife made it clear she had to have a tiffanys ring. lol it's small though i mean my dad does alright and is in the 6 figure bracket but he certainly can't afford a 3kt tiffanys ring so she got like a 1kt i think. whatever it's little but she doesn't care, it HAD to be tiffanys. for the amount of money he spent, he probably could have gotten her a rock from like mayors or something. oh well everyone is different. when it comes to diamonds, i'm more of a quantity over quality. quality, it's a big sparkly rock you wear on your finger...who gives a how "pure" it is or whate brand name it is:rolleyes: |

I'd rather have something original. Get me something with pearls and diamonds (like the necklace I got for the holidays :p) or something... or if all diamonds, an unusual design. I don't need fancy, I just want something that looks like you put a LITTLE more effort into it that "that one."
and 17sss, don't get me wrong - I'd be freaking showing off that ring to anyone who could see (the one you bought) :stongue: |

| what is wrong with getting another stone in general and bypass that diamond look entirely? also, your dad got hosed if he went to tiffany's, yes they get good stones but so do other places if you take the time to look. not saying you should go to zales or a store like that but paying for tiffany's is like asking to be screwed. |

Amazing how much the price increases for rings with the Tiffany name on them. I remember talking to a guy at Mayors when I was shopping around, and he showed me the documentation on how they get their diamonds from the same distributer that Tiffany's does. Mark-up madness! |

let me find the exact one from the designer's website... I've tried to take photos with my digital camera but the light reflection always makes the stone look blurry. hang on... |

my uncle did that with his wife. she loves purple and amethyst so she has a huge amethyst rock with some little diamonds around it and the band is really cool and detailed.
personally, i'm really big on the crystal thing. crystals sparkle beautifully and are so much cheaper than diamonds. i'm with sarah, i'd want something original...like a huge crystal and then maybe our birth stones as side stones or something cool like that.
oh well i'll take whatever he buys, but he knows i'm not into the fancy diamond and that i like crystals. |

I taught him "POD" a long time ago. Said if he was ever gonna get me jewelry, stick with Pearls, Opals, and Diamonds lol any combination or any of them, and I'd be happy :) |
