Tiesto started off a little slow, but picked up in the ned, with his version of umek - gatex, with beat. And his mixing is still not great.

But i love his track selection, and for the first time i have seen him life, i wasnt disappointed :)

LMFAO, :stongue:

another brain dead idiot who bows down to TSA's complete bull propaganda (inculding numourous "pity me im banned and lost money" threads) you are all too ing stupid to see what hes doing, hes basically "paying" you to be his friend by hosting files for you all, but you're all to dumb to notice that once you all get on his side he will use you to gain more power on the board, which is ing sad and pathetic. i on the other hand have never wanted to be a mod, just because i apreciate the job they do, preventing idiots create a load of bollocks on the forums, doesnt mean im an arse kisser, maybe if you were on here enough to learn the role they play on the board you wouldnt go around making petty lists...

I have been inspired to write a list of things that occur on this site that I would like to see changed.

Changes I would love to see on Tranceaddict.com:

1) Stop the spam. ALL OF IT. No more sticky threads for spammers. No more Mod encouraged spam. Get rid of it ALL.

2) Stop the flaming, especially from the mods. Mods should rise above the situation and refrain from flaming people. I thought they were chosen to be a mod in the first place because they wanted to resolve issues and make the boards a better place, not be hypocrites and do the very thing they are fighting against (also applies to rule one above)

3) Stop the elitist attitudes. I remember my first post. All the way back in march. I introduced myself as a newbie, and I get flamed for it. Well, let me tell you something, it STILL exists. Elitism is a very common thing on this board. Very few ppl are actually helpful. All I hear from veterans of these forums is how the newbies do everything wrong. They get flamed when they dont use the search function. They get flamed when they DO use the search function for bringing up old threads. Newbies want to be able to contribute to TA, because they feel that their presence might make TA a better place. They need to be treated with a LOT more respect. Just because you got treated a certain way when you were a n00b, doesnt mean you have the right to treat other people that way.

4) Mods, if something is "offensive", remove it. dont put something in its place. just remove it. Send a PM to the person who put it, saying why it was offensive, and how they could have possibly made it so it wasnt offensive. Dont place your own comments to overwrite the offensive person's, unless their inbox is full. Its just about respect. Mods deserve respect, but they should be respectful as well. It is not respectful to make a private situation public.

Well, thats what i can offer in constructive criticism. Unfortunately, though, knowing the history of this community, I will get flamed for this.

P.S. why are people spamming in this thread? There is already a thread for GSSS. Stick on topic, and dont try to bury the underlying issues as if they dont exist. Bring those issues out so we can discuss them, and possibly fix what is wrong.

if you are reffering to the private room.. there is one in the New York .. it wasfor private use.. if it bothers you ignore it.. it is not in a main centralized forum, as not to be in the way. It does not encourage spam.. mostly we talk about things.. but the title of 'pad' started because of a bet.. although I am sure redeye can change the name if that bothers you too

As a mod.. I disagree with your statement of us being hippocrites, there are rules, and we abide.. we enforce.. etc.. I have not seen one mod break any rules, or do idiotic pointless flaming. Even with personalized attacks, such as the ones in the NY forum against starf0x there was no flaming response. it is true that there needs to be less flame on the board -but never have I seen a mod instigate a flamewar, most of the time it is us who ends it.

there is nothing wrong with noob's imo, I can apologize for eltism.. but like people have said before it is nowhere as bad as other forums.. we try our hardest to be fair. :)

I wholehartedly disagree.. by changing links to somthing like 'ta does not support warez' or pictures to 'innapropriate content not allowed on tranceaddict' it not only tells the person who is making the mistake what they did wrong, but it also tells people who are reading the post not to follow in their footsteps.. It shows by example

As mods we work hard.. and most often we do things for a reason... for the betterment of the silent majority..

Don't forget the WA/Cali one that you created also. And can you create a PRIVATE sticky thread for me?, and while youre at it, why dont you just create one for everyone thats a member of TA?

I am shocked that you dont think those threads are spam. I challenge anyone to look at the first 2 pages of the NY thread and tell me that it wasnt meant to be spam.

and that thread doesnt bother me. . .you can leave it if you want. But why would you ban someone for spamming if you encourage certain individuals to do it. Its not their fault that you tell them they cant do it, but others can.

I only wish that was the case. . .You guys do a lot for the communtiy, dont get me wrong. And we are appreciative. but could you tell me how "idiotic pointless flaming" is different from "smart insightful flaming"? that right there is what my post was reffering to. negative comments directed at someone.
You dont find that even the slightest bit hypocratic?

I could list many others, but I would rather this turn into a discussion of how to improve the TrancEaddict forums for everyone

I agree. . . From what i have seen, Starfox usually doesn't flame. That alone has earned him a portion of my respect.

you think saying certain people need to be banned forever, or calling people @$$holes isnt instigating a flamewar? I dont mean to be rude, but I have a hard time believe what you just said. They should rise above petty insults.

We are allowed to disagree. Nothing wrong with that at all. But can you tell me how not acknowledging a single issue i have brought up is for the "betterment of the silent majority"? how about trying to change things instead of denying they exist

I think most of us know the deal on this board... just don't let it bother you. You kids get too worked up over a ing message board. There is more to life than this...

Orbax
hehe /agree. Think about what you are arguing about. How light pixels are arranged on your monitor. If it bothers you turn off your monitor and its magically gone. If you dont like how someone arranges the pixels who gives a wank, because you are never going to be able to change someone via internet. When people tell me something in text, i say :who gives a hell: because what are they gonna do about it... and if you want to think about it like a fight, if you get worked up about it, they win. You are the one who isnt happy now, their mission is accomplished. but refer to the beginning of this message again. or disregard it. Nothin I can do
inatrance
the mods, we do not deny problems... I dont understand how you think we deny problems.. when we are in here posting trying to solve them
