it is also well known that of all electronic music, trance shares the most characteristics with pop music. that's why it is so popular around the world. it's easy to pick up and not nearly as challenging as house or techno. |

house is such a broad genre that ya there is a whole sect of cheesy commercial house of which axwell falls into. what i'm talking about though is the sounds of tech house, deep house, even tribal house. |

a lot of the music i play is a little bit challenging and a lot of the people that go out are younger and don't understand and don't need challenging, they just need it fed to them easily, you know, which is why trance is still king. it's a great night out, but it's instant, it's dramatic, and it suits being high or drunk or straight, you know, whatever condition you're in there's no need to understand or no journey you need to take from point a to point b in regards to music.

Well thats the thing, I don't really care that you do, just don't pretend you're above the rest. I'm not gonna sit here and search your posts for examples I've read in the past because I wanna go make some music tonight and I don't have the time.
What the do you need to "retaliate" for, are you that insecure? Doesn't that by definition go against just being able to accept that other people's opinions no matter how crass?
I don't think bashing trance constantly is worth a damn just as I don't think that sitting here saying

| i'm amused by people with inferiority complexes who feel the need to constantly reinforce their own music preference to themselves and others by reiterating tired cliches like 'this is the nth time trance has been declared dead, haha!' every time asot hits a nice round number and then enlisting themselves into some cosmic war of genres whereby they must seek out and enact revenge upon genres they are completely ignorant of because someone made some remark somewhere that damaged their sense of idealization. it reminds me a lot of kindergarten/religion. |
