That being said, I think we should all focus on becoming better friends with one another. We should organize a camping trip or a friendship workshop or something. |

i think you're limiting the term successfull as in being popular and profitable, i am meaning successfull as good quality whether they are discovered and recognized or indie and relatively unknown. so im
not really sure if im still making that classic response you are referring to. if making that response is considered wrong in your book, or database, then i dont want to be right. because its just my opinion of the talent, musically speaking, of the people that spend a lot of time posting here in MD (should make that clear, im talking about MD specifically).
the point of expressing that opinion is to step back and look at the "wankers" from a further perspective, to look at the big picture here. "why should i get worked up at these music experts? i dont like their dj mixes or their productions, we obviously have different tastes".
so in that case ... here's another opinion for you to add to your database: if you are spending your time making a database of (in your opinion) stupid opinions on the internet, than i think that is a collosal sad waste of time. |

and half way though the trip a divide will happen.
Some will think that the trip has turned to compared to the start.
Some will think its still fine and that the start was over-rated.
They will all continue on the same trip but each group will do their own things most of the time, occasionally they get together and discuss each others ideas and what not. Some of the time it ends with no gain, other times it does. |

The artistic capability of the critic is irrelevant to the merit of their criticism. If you can't criticise something unless you're good at it yourself, then logically you can't praise it either. It's a commonly repeated and obviously false attempt at censorship, whenever some soft-skinned fanboy wants to stop hearing the nasty opinions.
Oh, and there are plenty of good DJs on TA. I don't see you posting in the DJ section very much, so how much have you downloaded to reach that conclusion?

Unfortunately, a colossal amount of idiots on the Internet keep making the same stupid-ass arguments time after time. So rather than do what I've just done and typed out an obvious counter to one of these stupid arguments, I can write out my counter once, put it online and hyperlink it for a quick and easy answer to stupidity. |

i was refreshing this page patiently waiting for the one liner mr mystery who always points out hypocrisy. you missed the word i put in bold "frequently". i do not argue here frequently. compare profiles, i have a .7 post per day ratio, with like 800 total posts. the people im referring to have 3+ posts per day ratio and 3,000+ total posts. i might make you feel like an idiot, but im not going into the post with that as my main goal like the forementioned usually do.

im not saying if your not good than you cant criticize, im trying to tell people to put it in perspective, that before you get upset and spin your wheels endlessly in recursively infinite arguments, to take a look at what they've acomplished in their life so far. |

You say "forementioned," but I don't think you actually mentioned anyone specific. Who are these people who hover in MD all day because they love making others feel like idiots? Even the people who get accused of "bashing" the most make plenty of productive posts, and I think some of them have real talent as well, like Mr.Mystery. |

Colossal sad waste of time can be colossal sad waste of time even when it's infrequent.
I'm not even denying this to be a waste of time for me - 90% of my time spent here is during working hours when I have absolutely nothing to do. |

Firstly, what does that have to do with... anything that has been discussed in this thread? Secondly, why do you equate life accomplishments with being a successful DJ or producer? Thirdly... what the are you talking about?

What does that have to do with life accomplishments, or recursively infinite arguments? I think you are making the classic fallacy I described, and now you're just backtracking frantically with some frankly nonsensical waffling.
