IMO even many regulars make lots of "troll-style" posts in MD, which is why you have lots of trance-heads complaining about "bashing." |

Everyone gets bashed pretty equally on this forum. Between the s who need to go into every trance thread and talk posting unicorns and the other morons constantly complaining about "mnml elitist hipster fags" I think we have all the bases covered. Even drum & bass gets lambasted now and then.
None of it bothers me much, it's all mostly entertainment. |

I can't help but laugh at TA sometimes, the endless examinations of the climate on the forum etc. It's always the same thing, over and over. It's the usual newly registered noobs, the elitist fags, the minimal hipsters, it works in a club, you're just jealous. It's really funny in a good way, it's the reason i think many keep coming back here, the drama. :stongue: :stongue:

I think it's funny how certain folk always go on hissy fits complaining how [insert-genre-here] gets bashed here all the time when in reality people are slinging mud pretty much all over the place. Nobody's spared.
I don't know why anyone takes it seriously. |

IMO the most productive threads in terms of actual music discussion here are usually the ones that don't deal with ordinary "dance music" at all, like the ambient, classical, post-rock, soundtrack, and IDM threads.

in the end we all go back to the music we like listening to. everybody likes what they like, and everybody has their personal favorites. just filter out the posts your don't like, ignore them and move on |

Haven't seen any creativity in drum&bass since Plug, Photek, Peshay, Spring Heel Jack and Squarepusher entered the game and released their best works. That liquid funk sound that comes from Hospital and related labels can be interesting and even fun, but most of the time it sounds forced and artificial, without any characteristic atmosphere. Oldschool drum&bass kills newschool by far. I think you just have that well-known "I listen to it, so it must be awesome, creative, innovative..." syndrome. Care to give some examples nonetheless? |
