I didn't find this any more or less sketchy than when it was actually at Cherry Beach.
Maybe it is easier to notice the disruptive types because the area is less open, the crowd is less spread out, and certain things that would have been out of your "line of sight" at cherry beach were in plain view over there. We had a spot on the perimeter, and I didn't see anything that I would really describe as a buzz-kill, but perhaps I'm just not that observant.
Anyway, as Jay says, the interesting part will be seeing how this plays out over the coming weeks.
Also, next time I'm bringing a weed whacker. |

| Police came to the drum circle last night at Cherry Beach searching for a Kayla-Rose Gaulton, a 18-19 year old who's been missing since the Promise party last Sunday. If you have any information about her whereabouts call 9-1-1. |

wow, i hope they find her and it's nothing serious..

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public locating a missing
woman.
Kayla−Rose Gaulton, 18, was last seen on Saturday, July 12, 2009, in the Finch Avenue
East/Victoria Park Avenue area.
She is described as white, 5’5”, 110 lbs., with brown eyes, and short, dark, brown,
collar−length, hair. She was wearing light−blue shorts, a white T−shirt, white sneakers with
green sides, and was carrying a large, gold, canvas purse.
Police are concerned for her safety.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416−808−2200, Crime Stoppers

to be fair...the police release doesn't mention CB..it's the person that posted in this thread that made the connection.. |

That's a direct quote from the police officers, they said she was last seen Sunday @ CB, so they were there to see if anyone who's @ CB might know her.
they also rambled about coming back later to shut down the circle and were told we have a permit, and said "oh so you have a permit?"
The same concerns about public alcohol consumption was communicated to the organizers, so things are going to change just like the Promise parties. |
