| I don't get u on this one. You're saying that because there's sharam on Friday and sanchez on Sunday, the Saturday dj should be local? Nonsense. Saturday is the official openning, the first "afterhour" event, and u think thell have a local spining all night? You're funny. If the new parking opened with 4 huuuuuge acts 4 nights straight (incl. Morales and tenaglia) I don't see why stereo can't do the same, in fact I'm sure they will. Going to be a mad night. |

i'm not saying the dj will be local, but parking can sell booze so comparing both places and what they can or can't book is ridiculous.
i would not be surprised to see grondin play...he is their flagship resident and always packed in the gay crowd on his saturdays. |

So all the evidence points to Sharam on Friday and only regular hours. Awwww.
Tis a shame of sorts that Sharam isn't playing an afterhours set. I mean...to me...STEREO is synonymous with afterhours and that's 2am and beyond. :) The fact that it's reg hours just throws me a bit off track. I'm sure that that the night will be packed and vibing, but since I prefer the "after" hours to the regular hours...I suppose I'll hold off. Besides, the $50 admission price is a bit steep for me.
I'll save the visit for either the Saturday or Sunday. Sanchez is quite the draw for me...still...until official OFFICIAL word comes out on who's spinning Saturday, I'll keep the possibilities open. :)
See you on the STEREO dancefloor in Sept.

Dude the first night won't be a "gay" night, so no grondin. Thell try to get as many diff ppl to come and check out the place, they want new clients. It's gonna be a big name!
And for mindflip, the saturday dj is a secret no one knows who is it. You'll only get to know once he/she steps behind the decks. So you're buying your ticket for stereo and not for the dj. I'm going Saturday. See you guys there |

| the thing is stereo plans to keep the dj a secret every saturday (not just the first weekend) as the new club policy. It seems to me if you drop big coin on headliners you do some promo. |

| But that's what's so cool about it, u pay, don't know what to expect, u get inside and it's tenaglia spinning. Ya it could be a local, but you could still get bigger djs. The point in keeping djs secret on Saturday is to make the people come just for stereo, regardless of who's playing. If it's a big name, good for you, if not, it's still stereo. They are doing that because before, people (me included) only went for big bookings, rarely for locals (which often do a better job then big names). Now they want to create a balance and make people go for the love of the place. That's my opinion anyhow... |

your opinion does not make sense financially. |

i'll most def be there on saturday. i kinda like the idea of it being a secret. maybe not the best move from an economical standpoint however, but you never know.
i'll have tickets for sale for all stereo events that weekend, so if anyone needs, just let me know!
friday: 50$
saturday: 35$
sunday: 35$
monday: keep your stereo ticket from the weekend and show it at the door. it will be 10$, otherwise, it's 20$ at the door. |

| Doesnt Robert Johnson in Berlin do that - not release the lineup of their parties? Now and then they release a podcast - but they consistently get in good enough talent that people show up anyways "just because its Robert Johnson, and going there - you know you're going to get quality because you trust the people doing bookings for the club. |

Personally I find keeping the DJ a secret a big gamble... it'll either pay off big or will be a huge bust...
Time will tell... Alexx G your theory does make sense, however, when people pay that kind of money they want to see an international DJ behind the decks... not a local. People may be disappointed to pay that and to see Grondon behind the decks. They may not even return and it's this that should worry Stereo, people not coming back.
Either way, I'll make an appearance one of these nights. Definitely not on the Sharam night tho LOL. |
