EZ Review Pros & Cons (pg. 4)

Overall, I'm very happy with how everything resulted this weekend. Everything was a breeze from the bus getting there to leaving the island. The organisation of this event was just flawless.

The things that I was unhappy with just like everybody else was the beer situation. Paying $9 for the ty beer that was available was pure abuse. It seems like they were emptying the porta-potties and putting the muck in a Brooklyn Brewery cup. DISGUSTING. The biggest fail.

Another thing was the sinks in the bathroom area. NO WATER! I kept going to the water station to rinse my hands. That was a big hassle, but better than having soap all over my hands.

Also, like Melly said, there should have been a separate venue for the techno. Most techno heads would rather die than to set foot in that hole that is called Pacha, I'd rather catch Paco, Audion and Beyer some other time. The combination of crowds is just too weird.

Seperate indeed.

I think it said he was Matt Dear @ Pacha anyways so I prob didn't miss out. I am seeing Adam Beyer in Space in 3 weeks so I didn't care. My bf would have prob liked to go for Ferry but we couldn't get our asses to up once we planted down on the couch @ Bell House.

But seriously, that was mega wack. Even when I plan there is still a 45% chance I'll make it... the only reason I probably made it to Sunday Best was that I actually live in Brooklyn. ftw.

The lack of afterparties was lame. I would have liked more of a variety.

During every music conference/festival there is always 1 party with a line up that will attract a load of TA's. That's another great thing about announcing line-ups. Would have been fun to have a get together but nope.

i was thinking the same thing. Rebel would have been a great place for a techno afterparty, being that Save the Cannibals was there all summer. It seemed like a logical choice to me :conf:

sure, no problem.

i believe the first topic in lecture will be on the Nervous System (Central vs. Peripheral), so the lab will most likely deal with spinal cord/structure of a nerve. I looked at a friend's syllabus and that was the topic for the first wk. The syllabus doesn't deviate too much from year to year. I'll definitely confirm it when I get my syllabus on Friday :)

You know what is lame?? Made's exclusive contract. I bet that the djs playing EZ were bound by the contract to not play any other party. That was one of the biggest fails this weekend.

my only beef w/ this whole thing was the $9 beer. that was kinda excessive. but at least i didn't feel guilty about not tipping ha!

many pro's though. i liked the location, the free busses afterwards. sound quality was excellent. tents were awesome ideas. main stage was fun. overall setup. no major lines. bathrooms were always available (i NEVER waited to take a piss in the general area)

maybe they should have had a divider between riverside and the main stage...there was an area between walking the two that it sounded bad (trainwrecks cause the beats on main stage didn't match beats on riverside tent)...but who the cares it lasts 5 seconds and it's over with. so no big deal, i suppose.

Yeah dude, next year if the beer is $9 I will be dead sober. I have done it a 1000 times before and will do it again. I will have more energy and have money in my pocket at the end of the weekend. I know plenty of people who feel the same.

Pros
The massive amount of DJ's and the variety of Genres
The massive size of this place and the event
The massive amount of bathrooms
The water fountain in the middle
Sound in each tent was pretty damn good for an outdoor event
Such an incredible vibe and mostly friendly people
Appears that cops were pretty chill and didn't bother people
Fairly good transportation system to and from
Medical staff on hand
This was organized very well considering its the first time
The food price was okay. Quasadiles were pretty good actually and there was a white camper with falafles and other pita stuff for $4.99 which was delicious
Even though there was water fountain, the price of water wasn't that crazy and there were plenty of cards.

Cons
As mentioned before about thousand times, BEER $9. W T F, once again W T F.
Looks like the VIP section was pretty lame (im glad i didnt get this)
Some people overdid it and couldnt handle their on the first day (ive seen people throwing up and just ed outta their minds)
mau5 lol, why was he even invited
Looks like they ran outta money very quick at the ATM machines

____________
Bottom line, I couldn't be happier and I still dont have enough of this. Looking forward to next year.....
Made has done a tremendous job!!!!!!
