Such an incredible vibe and mostly friendly people
Appears that cops were pretty chill and didn't bother people
Fairly good transportation system to and from
Medical staff on hand
This was organized very well considering its the first time
The food price was okay. Quasadiles were pretty good actually and there was a white camper with falafles and other pita stuff for $4.99 which was delicious
Even though there was water fountain, the price of water wasn't that crazy and there were plenty of cards.

Cons
As mentioned before about thousand times, BEER $9. W T F, once again W T F.
Looks like the VIP section was pretty lame (im glad i didnt get this)
Some people overdid it and couldnt handle their on the first day (ive seen people throwing up and just ed outta their minds)
mau5 lol, why was he even invited
Looks like they ran outta money very quick at the ATM machines

____________
Bottom line, I couldn't be happier and I still dont have enough of this. Looking forward to next year.....
Made has done a tremendous job!!!!!!

yeah, i fully agree w/ the VIP thing. did they even have a seperate entrance? and the main stage area?! they were off to the side! i thought VIp wwould have been in the center; but oh well. glad i saved the dough!

it was nice actually :) They had a load of comfy couches that you could still see the stage if you were sitting, access to all the DJ's (if they cared to stop or you cared to bother them), full bar (and same or lower prices than the beer!! THATS the kicker! haha!), uber clean bathrooms with running sinks and toilets, great viewing area of the stage (which was most important to me. I could see the stage like I was right in front of it without anyone on top of me, tons of room, and a place to set my drink), the bleachers for more veiwing/seating, etc....

.......that being said, it was awesome to have VIP, but NOT awesome that only half your friends, did and half your friends didnt. I would say VIP was worth maybe $40 more, not $70.

You do understand that they had to do that though, right? Maybe as someone who is looking for more afterparty options, it sucks. But if Made didn't have exclusive contracts, all those djs they booked would have been booked up by other promoters for nighttime parties, and it could have seriously affected the actual festival turnout.

I agree with zack on this. You have to look at such situation from both point of views.

Brooklyn Brewery is sponsoring Made outdoor events that's why they keep appearing (i bet they're paying pretty good money to Made)
Somebody else should step up and sponsor them.

I remember few years back during PVD @ Central park, they had a different variety of beer such as Heineken, Corona, Bud light, amstel light and stela artois + more...

It was more worth it for us having VIP for day one. The bar was great and they had a few beer brands but I don't remember which since I on't drink beer. The cups for alcohol were huge on the first day like drinking doubles for the same price as beer. Too bad they changed cups on the second day. I agree with yankeebaby about the area, couches were great and we had room to dance.

What a weekend! I was really considering if I should fly down from Seattle just for this, and now I can tell you it was worthy! I am glad to be part of the first big EDM festival in NYC!

Pros:
Amazing Line-up!!!
Lasers in the tents & the sound everywhere
Not too crowded (there were much less people on Sun, which was suprising!)

Cons:
The order of the line-up. I wish some of the djs that played on Sun were moved to Sat
Drinks. $9 / beer?!?! WTF!!!
Lasers on the main stage

Here are my top 5 performances of the weekend:
1. Steve Angelo - I have never seen him live and he was kicking ass! Despite the fact that I am a trance lover, I vote for him as the best performer at EZ!
2. Ferry Corsten - Everytime I see Ferry he is amazing.. and he never makes a mistake. This was his regular festival set, and despite the fact that he plays similar stuff, I loved it
3. Armin Van Buuren - His set was a big surprice. Started hard and kept on banging for 2 hours!!! However, deadmau5 was def a not good opener for Armin and the transition was kind of sudden. I wish Markus or someone else opened for him.
4. ATB - He really impressed me.. Jumping around, full with energy, Andre showed that he is one of the best djs out there.
5. Markus Schulz - He had a very interesting set. I really liked the mash-up style (never seen anything like that before), but on the other hand, I felt like he was cutting the tracks short.

I was sooo glad to so many NYTAs.. even though I wish I had more time to spend with them. Its always good to be in NYC. I should try to make it there more often!

What's the point in spending money on water just to throw it around like an idiot?

give me a break.

that's lame as . maybe you feel the need to defend thembc u play for them but c'mon.

what other festival does this ?

none.

they could have been booked by other promoters as the "special guest" bull or like Chaska already mentioned - MADE could have just rented out a few more venues.

During the STC days everyone knows they were booking Pacha and/or Cielo at the same day/time. Why not now?

This isn't something impossible. Prob could have lead them to have more money with another bar tab + admission at a different club.

the afterparty was def a huge & greedy CON!

Sunday Best was free. TY SB and Prins Thomas for providing me with the after party venue I had wanted ( I could have done without the sticky floors but people/music/vibe A+ ):toocool:

AY STAR
yea i deff agree with what mel and others are saying
pachita was not the proper venue to hear dear, beyer etc

and it was stupid to announce everything very last min
if anything they should have just have the main headliner annouce they were playing during the festival like ferry did

i feel for the next year they should either sepereate the venues
or if they are going to have one atleast annouce it a week in advance or something
cause suprisingly besides pachita (which was packed as on sat night congrats zack) the main floor of pacha was not as packed as you think with all those big artists on it, so made basically screwed themselves by waiting to the last min maybe who knows

point is that the kids want techno and pachita is not the venue for it :toothless
