You're turning into such a bitter emo. You're obviously coloured by your own experiences, and I think what you said is bull.
The meat head men inevitably find the meat head women, but there are a lot of women who are looking for something more than a guy who can mow the lawn for them. Also, just because someone is interesting and intelligent doesn't also mean they can't also be good with their hands.
I also find your pairing of the words 'handy' and 'well-off' interesting. Do you mean well-off financially? If so, I would argue that those who are good with their hands rather than their heads tend to be less wealthy than those with intelligence.
However, I also kind of agree with you that a lot of guys are boring. There are so many blokes that are only into drinking beer, watching television or sport and talking about women. I'm not suggesting that they should be hitting art galleries instead, but some uniqueness and interesting hobbies would go a long way. I imagine the situation is a lot worse in macho Texas, too, but I'm probably just swayed by the false stereotype. |
