Whatever dude, you go ahead and keep spending your time being a forum Nazi. I will continue to put my time into actually organizing parties, making mixes, and supporting the real scene. You would think the moderator would appreciate a well put together event with some great up in coming talent even if I so called "bumped it." It's really not a big deal, it's just a promotion tactic which prevents the event from getting buried. And posting the flyer 2 weeks out is nowhere near enough time to promote any event. I would be a bad promoter if I let the event I am putting much time and effort into to fall be the wayside. If you actually knew me you would understand my dedication to the scene. And like I said, I do interact on other forum sites, I just can't be involved on that level on all of the sites I am signed up to. Plus, I get much more response on other sites. Do you contribute like you do on TA the same way on any other sites? That being said, I do see your point and will try to contribute more to TA. Now let's squash this because it's starting to get real childish. |
LOL @ the forum Nazi comment. im hardly on here really unless a topic or situation comes up where I need to be involved otherwise this section runs on its ownn. Actually I do participate on 4 other sites where I am an active member.. maybe not as much but I do come around from time to time. All I ask is to be an active member of this forum. Simple. I respect your attempt to keep the scene alive in your area.. however you should get the people who live in your area that are member to post in your events thread rather than vouch or defend you in a situation like this.

By the way, I do interact with other TA members. How in the do you think I got my mix played on Echoform's DI.FM minimal techno show this month??? | easy with ur tone.

i can vouch for meeko. he is definitely not trying to make money with his events.
anyway, this forum rule is easy to get around. simply pretend to interact with other people on the forum by posting a few generic responses in random threads every now and then. |
that's really sad on ur part to even say that. Instead of replying with negative remarks try working with the system than around the system. Instead of vouching for him.. you should've posted in his thread to help out your areas scene & him. Just some food for thought.

aww its not sad, cheer up! just bringing to light a flaw in the design. if hackers did not exist no one would ever focus on security, its part of nature. |

So now just deal with it. Post events in the EVENTS thread. If you need to make individual threads simply post in the 'chill out' thread, or the 'what you are currently listening to' thread, or post in any other threads once in a blue moon. If you cannot do that you obviously are NOT interested in "furthering any scene" as claimed, only interested in furthering YOUR OWN BOTTOM LINE. | Actually no.. this makes great sense.
No one here (other than you tiny little crew) has any idea of how you play/what you like etc.. You don't even come out to meetings where everyone is invited. (Adam Beyer at Space was ridiculously packed with TA's)
There are plenty of forums to go spam/promote whatever you wanna call it. Losing this 1 site isn't going to hurt you.
So please, if you agree with it or not.. just follow the rules.
I got suspended for making a drunk thread - I don't agree with it, but rules are rules. I didn't make a stink about it. |

| I'm guessing it may be a good idea to have an Event Forum in here like Toronto, New York, Montreal have? hmm? |

In the California area I have the event threads also showing up in the main forum - that is not the case in Toronto, MTL or New York..but since the Cali area is mainly event discussion oriented I didn't want to turn the forum into a ghost town by adding a sub-forum
Best of both worlds. I could do that here too.... |
