That's good to know...

Should I take this as an insult?

Mattinsanity would't care.

But Mattinsanity shutting up and you with just 7 posts at the moment seemed not like a coincidence to me.
Also regarding your reply in the COR. I think you were here before.

Okay, that explains it, just curious, was it your first reply after rejoining in this thread? If you did and you said you were waiting for this I actually would believe that, such a coincidence.

Someone once described to me that progressive trance to be trance that sounds like house and progressive house to be house that sounds like trance
Mattinsanity
I know I vowed I'd shut up after the famous Ish spoke but that.

Matt, if you took half the time you spend making ty posts and being an idiot, and instead spent that time practicing your mixing, it would probably make quite a difference.

I was about to make a nice comeback to this but whatever, you win ok sweetcheeks?

and I am Psynon LOL. the great -MB is spot on.
Mattinsanity

THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE.

I'm getting closer and closer to finding the threads I read when I was a small fry. people were talking about progressive trance's existence on TA. I wasn't BSing when I made this thread.
Mattinsanity
Oh my goodness. this is deja vu all over for me.

We had a discussion on another forum about this.. There is no such thing as Progressive Trance, at least that label is COMPLETELY WRONG for the people Cobalt listed above. Either you're denying that you like progressive HOUSE, or you are just misinformed. Ask Mara what they call their music, and you won't get a word "trance" anywhere NEAR their reply.

And what's this about "progressive trance being more melodic than house".. are you nuts? :) You're separating the genre into melodic and non-melodic and assigning different labels to it? If a song sounds like Xpander, its "progressive trance" just because it has melody?

Trance is trance, progressive house is progressive house.. Don't mix the two together, and try to understand that they are DIFFERENT - the vibe, the BPM, the people who produce it are very different. I don't consider anything to be trance if it's below 132 bpm. Simple as that, trance is defined by it's speed more than its synths, melodies, or anything else.

If you're gonna start a new genre, at least label the artists properly. James Holden is not a trance producer :-P

ALL HAIL nennon. I respect Ishkur but this debate is still up for grabs! :D

deja vu all over. Better hit up the ATM machine.

look, he finally found the thread where it once was said that progressive trance doesn't exist. it all makes sense now. this thread has been justified, halleluja

This is James Holden by the way. Yes he did produce trance at one point, though progressive.
