Synths I Currently Desire

Synthesizers I currently desire:

Access Virus B Desktop
Access Virus TI Desktop
JoMox MBase 11
DSI Mopho Keys
DSI Tetra
Roland JP8080

If I come across a great deal:

SE Omega / Code
Roland MKS80 or other inexpensive vintage Roland w/ MIDI
Moog Voyager

That is all.

I guess you can tell me what you want, too. PHYSICAL INSTRUMENTS ONLY. Because that's where the real fun is at...

Also, try to be reasonable. I would have put a Jupiter 8, Synthex, Serge, etc up there but I'm only thinking in terms of what I can reasonably acquire. Personally I don't feel that vintage synths are worth the $$ given the many considerations required with the gear simply being old, but if you feel differently and genuinely want to own a JP8, post it.
Lucidity
Jp-8080 for sure, I am constantly using jp samples, I would really like to have one for real, and I also have always drooled over the TI, hopefully I can get them this year, if not, I'll make do.

I want a JP mostly for the fun factor. For example, I recently heard a HUGE SPRSAW track played by Daniel Kandi at TATW 300. I think it may have been an original by him but either way it was very much modeled after classic 90s JP80x0 tracks but was obviously done with software.

I'm thinking, WTF? Buy a Jp80x0 just for that track if you have to but do it right!

I'm not thinking I'll ever do something as cheesy as a 90s style supersaw track, but for the $500 those go for, I think it can be a lot of fun even if I only use it for a few pads and some random synths...

Yeah yeah. MKS 80 at least post-dates MIDI. :p

OK then. :) I lusted after the MKS80 for a long time as well, but could never find one at a reasonable price.

I still think you need to add the Yamaha FS1R to your list. ;)

Roland V-Synth GT

I'd like an
elektron machinedrum
Nord lead 3
Prophet 08
Poly evolver
waldorf blofeld
Spectralis
Arturia Origin
and a new computer and audio interface to put them through.
Kysora
Stephen Kay's demos with the KARMA Workstation seemed very impressive, I toyed around with one in a pawn shop downtown once. Wish I had the $550 at the time..

If I saw them at a good price/ when I have some available funds again, I'd love to pick up an Alesis Andromeda, Yamaha FS1R and a Roland XV5080. The first two to provide different sound options, the last so I can consolidate the cards in my JV1010s and sell them (as well as the XV5080 sounding better than a JV1010, I'd assume).

hey alan, you change your mind every day, don't you? :D

some weeks ago everything was about the nord lead and against virus and moog. now it's the oposite?!:p

Specimen303
