Listen Chris...here's how this forum works.
Unless you talk about ty minimal jungle techno ...like Luciano or Lee Foss' "The Edge", people are going to hate on you.
Posters here constantly complain about how trance now isn't like the "good old days" when they used to listen to it. So you would think they would go back and listen to the old stuff if they didn't like the new stuff, right? Wrong. They just come in and on every thread that's not the brand of watered-down techno that they listen to.
If you're not in Woscar's posse (the mafia he leads on this forum is more powerful than anything Armin leads), you'll be viewed as a troll, etc.
Here's what they do:
Woscar's henchmen: "Dood this supersaw cracker trance artist blows ass!"
You: "The music you listen to sucks!"
Woscar's henchmen: "You don't have the taste to enjoy what I listen to"
So the bottom line? Just post whatever you want and ignore what the dweebs have to say. They think they are always right and never wrong when it comes to whether an artist is good or not, which is completely SUBJECTIVE. |

How's that helpful? He asked for opinions, and people here gave 'em, of all sorts. If he's just after opinions that only match is own, he might as well have posted the question on the Armin forum instead. I'll grant it's a shame a lot of people here don't know how to give well-reasoned opinions, but it's a big board. |

If anything, I am not one of Woscar's henchmen. It could be argued that I am on the outside of most social circles around here and that, at best, I am included in the periphery of the producers (although that status has certainly suffered as I've been absent for a while and only recently returned.
The critique I gave in this thread was based on what I had heard as it was posted in this thread. It's an overly simplistic argument to project an ulterior motive onto individuals who you disagree with. Even if one was so insecure with themselves as to need to become a part of a genre-bashing clique, the validity (or lack there-of) of any argument they pose stands apart from their social affiliations. |

hahaha I found some truth in it so far : ) anyway, everyone can have an opinion. I can't stand eurodance (the stuff like Pakito that I've posted earlier), but hey, its a human thing to have preferences. |

Yeah, its human to like music with no originality or quality. The same stuff refluffed and rehashed over and over, its what gets me up in the morning.

I liked crappy music for a while, you will eventually get over it and listen to good stuff or get move on to the next genre with no originality that happens to be flashy as the time. |

and armin sucks because he plays lowest common denominator music...i think he was even quoted a few times saying how he doesn't really listen to the stuff he plays when he is off the clock.
