Ok, thats an interesting question for me. This kinda rolled out in another topic, so I thought it might be a good lesson for me.
I like some of his stuff. The mixes are tight, tracks are well written and stuff like Wall Of Sound is amongst my all time favs.
I heard an opinion that his taste and works are ty and that most people on this forum hate him ... because of something ... ?
Please explain this to me ? Is it the whole Armada that there is smth wrong with ? I also like Markus Schulz, is that equally ty ?
Just wondering ;) |
Let me just suggest first and foremost that you focus your attention primarily on what you personally like and enjoy. Trying to meet the whims of the hive minds of the world will only leave you confused and bewildered.
To answer your question; those in the spotlight can be easily seen in its shine. Those easily seen can be easily quantified; and this tends to happen according to the popular trends of the day. |

Gotto love how you love listening to ty music but indirectly try to excuse it. :stongue:

WTF does this have to do with my opinion that probably more people over here don't hate him?
There is something between love and hate, but you probably forgot about that. |

and armin sucks because he plays lowest common denominator music...i think he was even quoted a few times saying how he doesn't really listen to the stuff he plays when he is off the clock.
says everything really. |
Well no, it doesn't really. I can tell you on my example, that if you work on something 24/7 for a few months you try to live the rest of your life in silence or listen to something really different. I'm listening to classic fm for the most part ... my girlfriend starts to hate me for that :haha:
Anyway, thats what happens when you're working with one genre a lot. |

Maybe it's the audio quality of the first, but I didn't find either particularly interesting. The music bed in the second was far superior to the first but then the cliche' lyrics really just killed that tune in a twelve point quick-kill take-down with a combat knife doing a circular dance in the chest cavity for a coup de grace. |
Are you joking? Which song would you rather hear a dj play... some boring electro cheese crap with a horrible vibe, or steady trance... nothing overblown, with a good vibe...
Flashy music isn't all that it seems to be. |
