Finally, I'm at a computer....

I'm sorry we didn't get to the TA meetup at this event- it would have been so special. We spent way too long waiting around at the train station for Redeye & Twilogoddess, who apparently had gone ahead without calling us (learn to use a phone, guys!). The only Dutch TA's we met were Miss Proximus & New Wave, & they're great.

I had a great time there, despite the weather, mud, and the couple hours in the beginning of my mushroom trip (which was a bad idea to do in a foreign land, on a cloudy day, in a pit of mud listening to the likes of Andy Farley, by the way...!). Somehow I managed to see almost everyone on my list that I wanted to see, but as susual with these big events, u can never spend a long time listening to just one act, cuz there's usually someone else to see at the same time.

My favorite tune of the day goes to Scumfrog for his remix of "Days Go By" by Dirty Vegas, which he played for the 1st time ever at DV. His parents were also dancing in the crowd with us, which was so cute. I was happy to catch some DJ's that will be near impossible to see in North America (Tom Harding, Yoji Biomehanika, & Umek). I encountered lots of very friendly people at DV (thank you for making my day), & met a guy from Dallas, TX (thanks for the free cd). We even ran into a friend from New York when we were taking the train home (small world!!).
Luckily, there were no nightmares with the transportation this year (that I know of, as I don't speak Dutch, so who knows what else has been written about this party? ;) )- we were just surprised with the long walk to the event. That party was HUGE! I've never seen so many people so closely together at an outdoor event like that. I can't wait to see my pictures. And I can't wait to get my luggage.... :whip: :whip: Damn you, Easy Jet for not even aswering your phone lines!!!!! Lam, I would be lost without you... Thanks for all your help with that matter.
I can't wait to get back to Holland again for more parties. I hope Josta will be back from her African safaris by that time... ;)

Dancevalley was a unique experience! It started out wet, bleak, and dreary. Ian & I were standing under an umbrella at Sasha at the mainstage which was NOT in a tent. We were w/a group of ppl, they left to go to a tent w/some no name DJ. I said no we are staying to hear Sasha! There were about 50 ppl there. The sun started to break through the clouds and sasha started to play harder & faster. The music was in sync with the weather. The sun came out and the crowd grew rapidly. We closed the umbrella looked out at the sea of ppl that had congregated infront of Sasha. The pivotal moment was when he dropped Expander vs. Underworld Cowgirl. I don't understand y they put him on at 2pm and Scot Project at 3:30pm. It was way too early for him. He closed at Gkgg.
The Eurogrooves tent was incredible. Excellent sound! This festival was MASSIVE. 80,000 ppl! I've neva experienced anything so intense and overwhelming. Treking around in the mud was DISGUSTING. we were Swampers. Umek was awesome! It was a long ass day. Dancing on grass is difficult, sliding and shloshing around in the mud is just gross. But we were there for the music. Thats all that matters. :)

Josta, it was so great meeting you and your bf. Sorry we didn't see you at dancevalley. Until Next year! :)

I LOVE THE DUTCH! A'dam is an incredible city!
