| you can't expect to have everything change so quickly. as things progress, the new generations will take control and we'll have a completely different nation in 20 or so years, all this will be a thing of the past, it's just a shame i won't be that young to 'experience' the affect :p |

The US tends to go through cycles of social and religious liberalism followed by conservative backlash. The '60s and '70s were followed by Reagan and the explosion of televangelism.
