:o

I don't like agreeing with him (okay I'm not agreeing since I don't think it's an intentional additive to control populations) but it's a legitimate issue and more and more studies (such as the one above) suggest the EPA should decrease their exposure limits.

Plz summarise that book, I ain't reading it just for a thread.

Honestly though, if it were retarding people's mental capacities, it wouldn't be used. End of story.

And thyroid related obesity is a TINY TINY fraction of total obesity numbers. To claim obesity is due to fluoride in the water is ridiculous.

I genuniely feel sorry for people who sit there and write off legitmate concerns others have about the actions of people in power. Why help them do harm to you and others around you? Are you a shill or a sheep...Which one?

Besides the benefits the healthcare industry makes from obesity and the health problems that arise from obesity and other problems that flouride causes, the government benefits from a dumbed down society. It is easier to control a dumb person than it is an intelligent society...hence systematic flouridation. In small doses (that you cant see) over many decades of anyones life is beneficial to our government and the businesses involved. The dumber the better. That flouride flavored kool-aide yall be drinking is some serious :stongue:

ps: I only drink water from the water shops that distill and do that osmosis on their water.

Point blank, the healthcare industry stays in business because of health problems, whether its a cold or chronic illness. When you're a fat some day, you will help the healthcare industry ring the registers, due to your health problems. They SAY they're losing money, thats how they get you tards to pay high insurance premiums and high costing drugs. The only reason IF they do lose money is because the money is funnelled to the insurance companies. The money is being made, but its not* going to the hands of those taking care of you, its going to the insurance companies. And the government really does not need it to end up in the healthcare company accounts, if they can collect it from the insurance companies. :stongue:

You're crazy if you think the healthcare industry is not one of the biggest money sucking industries in the world. Just because healthcare "costs" does not mean enormous amounts of money is not ending up somewhere, whether its a pharma, device maker, or an insurance company.

Lol.

Ok, so your government is trying to dumb down the population via fluoride in the water, huh? What about the governments of other countries, like mine? Are they doing it too? Or is there a world government that's controlling all this, globally?

Please enlighten me.

Welp, better start drinking urine instead then.

Sorry, but I have free healthcare, like everyone else in Australia.

Stop being an ignorant, and find out for yourself? Does your government flouridate their water? Maybe you should find out for yourself. I know most countries dont (because they want their people to compete intellectually obviously), America does though.

You can't read it all anyway, half the pages are missing. And indeed like I said, dude's seemingly quick to jump onto the bandwagon with anything that will support his idea. Please don't label me a CTer, I hold education and reason in high regard :p

The book isn't all available so I just skimmed random parts, but it concludes...
quote:
In light of the collective evidence on various health end points and total exposure to fluoride, the committee concludes that EPA’s MCLG of 4mg/L should be lowered. Lowering the MCLG will prevent children from developing sever enamel fluorosis and will reduce the lifetime accumulation of fluoride into bone that the majority of the committee concluded is likely to put individuals at increased risk of bone fracture and possible skeletal fluorosis, which are particular concerns for subpopulations that are prone to accumulating fluoride in their bone

Some do indeed show a relation between an increase in fluoride intake and a decrease in cognitive ability.

http://books.google.com/books?id=nr...effects&f=false

But like any issue, there are innumerable studies with different conclusions, so pick and choose I guess - like any good christian.
Kismet7
Actually this is probably one of the most well put together arguments out there
