| If partying is the most important for you, you can't beat Cancun.. |

what are your objectives?
i.e. partying, relaxation, eating, culture/history, excursions, spending time on the resort, exploring the country, etc.?

| Cancun is hands down the best place to party. Varadero has some nice clubs as well, but the atmosphere is much more relaxed, and so is the population. Which isn't a bad thing at all, in fact, I love Cuba. Have not yet been to Dominican, but from what I've heard, I'd still put my money on Cancun. However, Cancun isn't for everyone. For instance, if you're socially retarded or some kind of hermit, then Cancun would just be a waste of money. But if you're down to party and make some stupid decisions, then you'll have a good time. |

For partying you have to do do Cancun or Acapulco BUT Playa Del Carmen is honestly my fav place to vacation because it has the best of everything....great beaches, amazing resorts and the club scene is great aswell.....
Punta Cana is also great....#1 rated beaches in the carribean for 3 years running.....resorts/food are good and there are some CRAZY clubs there too.....Mangu and Imagine are insane...
have fun. |

| Just got back from Cuba. Definitely lots of young people. The food is disgusting, but as long as you go into it with an open mind you'll be okay. I would recommend venturing off the resort for food a couple of times too b/c there's lots of good cheap food elsewhere (i.e. Al Capone's house). I'd also recommend going off the resort a night or two to check out the night life. There's usually a fun crew at every hotel that will take ppl to the "hot spot" on certain nights. Some of the goods ones in Cuba: Mondays - The Pirate Cave (literally in a club in a cave); Saturdays - The Mediterranean (a club with 4 walls, no ceiling and the DJ booth is in a tree house that's in a tree in the centre of the club); Any non-rainy day - Calle 62 (an open air bar with a live Cuban band and ppl dance in the street). |

| Also, if you're going to get travel and/or medical insurance. Travel Cuts is by far the cheapest b/c they use student rates, even for people who aren't students. |

the cheapest is atually through your own bank (I think) :) CIBC has something like $25 up to 9 days of coverage, $40 for 2 weeks (emergency travel) |
