Help Me Decide (Mexico, Dominican or Cuba) (pg. 3)

just went to mexico in december, had an amazing time stayed at the Mayan Riviera Grand Sirenis, the service was amazing, food was spectacular, and the resort disco was even pretty good too, give the guy a buck or two with a tracklist of music, and that will be what he plays after the song that is playing ends..
and if you are looking to have a fun night, check out coco bongo, its in playa del carmen, there is a shuttle bus that will take you there from the resort for 60bucks, and its open bar all night, you get your own waitstaff and vip area and you get to watch an absolutely amazing show with loud music and a great performance, i went twice while i was down there.
oh, and and the main buffet area is open till 6am and you can order whatever you want, burgers bacon and eggs, whatever your heart desires!
definitely recommend it to everyone that is or is planning on going down south.

stay away from the swim up bar, for some reason everytime i went there i would have memory loss and a bad headache the next day...strangest thing :D |

| Dima and I went to Dominican Republic about a month ago and had a pretty good time. We definitely liked Cuba (we went last year) much more though. Like others mentioned, it was noticeably more enjoyable to be somewhere without all the douchebaggy Americans. Also, our resort in Cuba happened to be located right in front of one of the best snorkeling areas which was awesome. The food in Cuba was not as good as the food in Dominican Republic but I really didn't like it in either country. I stuck to the fruit for most of the time. I haven't been to Mexico yet, but I hear it's a great party destination if that's what you are after. |

When I was researching Playa, the websites claim that there is mostly Germans, Dutch, and Swiss that inhabit the town. The sites were 10000% correct. I saw german and dutch speakers every which way I turned. |

Cuba is Great. The beach is beautiful but the food is . Personally i want good food and a good beach. i'd go to Dominican or Jamaica. |

| from my personal experience at the resort i stayed at, there were few americans, mostly people from the UK and canada, a lot of people from out west. |

Just booked my trip today for Cozumel!
Can't wait :D I've been there for the day, but never stayed at a resort there. Can't wait though!!
PS. Get a credit card that includes all that insurance crap.
My TD Visa includes built in Trip Cancellation and medical, plus my health benefits via work covers everything you need.
No need to pay any extra for it!

You do know the real reason why swim up bars were invented right?
How else are you suppose to stay at the bar without having to leave to go the washroom! Stay away from the warm spots!
