I've seen people play the guitar and the harmonica on the streetcar before. I def. don't remember buying a ticket to their private concert when I got on!!

I hate punk kids who yell talk and swear.....esp. when there's young kids around them. So ignorant.

Maybe it doesn't happen to loyal riders? :p

Is it a surprise that you hear the worst stories from casual riders? I don't know if the chicken or the egg was first, but something is a bit fishy.

Very true, in most cases.

I think we even had a discussion about seasoned riders last week or whenever.

One time on the bus, this little old lady got on and nobody got up out of their seats (in priority seating) to let her sit down. She stood clinging to the pole until we got to the next stop and I put down the stroller/wheelchair seat for her. I muttered "ing morons" just loudly enough as I walked back to my seat, and some woman turned to me and said "Oh, how did you do that?! I would have done that!" And I rolled my eyes and said "The directions are printed very clearly right on the seat." I guess it didn't occur to her to just offer the woman her ing seat. What the is wrong with people? Ugh.

Even though the TTC can be annoying at times, I would still choose it over having a car in this city any day. It's convenient, and affordable. Having a car in downtown T.O. is not IMO, with the cost of parking/insurance. I couldn't deal with the traffic, and parking is almost non existent. Even when you have a permit, you still have to drive around to find a spot! Not worth the hassle. The only time I wish I had a car, is when I want to drive OUT of the city. I hate taking VIA. Such a rip off.

TTC is great if you live downtown and dont need to leave it. Otherwise...

wtf are you on about
I took a mighty Finch bus that took the entire Jane and Finch community to work for a year
and The 196 Rocket for 4 years (York U buses)
*~LiSa-LoO~*
The same thing I said when someone posted a link on FB:

This is awesome!

Related to that, I was at the eye specialist awhile ago and the waiting room was rammed - mainly w/elderly ppl, many standing - and there were was one woman who took 2 seats (1 for her and 1 for her purse), and another man that when he got up to go in for his appointment, actually took his hat and jacket off, and put it in the ... See Morechair he was sitting in as if to save it. I was appalled that some elderly ppl would be doing that to other elderly ppl, knowing from their own experiences that it's difficult for them to stand long!
