that's really disturbing.

There is a whole stream (no pun intended) of gay oriented videos on free porn websites that are strictly of dudes jerking off on public transit and other forms of shared transportation. Gay dudes love it apparently.

lol. I remember teaching Margaret how to double quote a long time ago. Before, she was individually re-typing each quote herself. lol When you hit quote, just right click and open it in a new tab. Then copy and past all of the quotes into one reply. Unfortunately there's no easy trick.

really?!?!?! wow :nervous:

I also hate people that smell of B.O., or like stale urine and or/sour milk. Not sure how you come to smell of sour milk, but I've experienced it more than once, and it makes me GAG. I've had to change subway cars on occasion because of a smelly person.

subway is a food chain, right?

Uh, what you guys are doing is assuming that someone will read it. Most often then not, maybe 2 of 10 people will probably read it after you (assuming you take the subway twice a day for 5 days).

In that case you are still littering. You are ASSUMING! Not everyone else that comes after you may not read one.

I understand why most people read it. So what happens at the end of the night in which you pick it up, read it, then put it back?

i get on the subway at kipling st and i often see a ttc worker with a garbage bag full with gloves picking up all the papers on the floor and seat at roughly 10-12pm because they were all left there. so im guessing all these papers were read by some rider who had the same mentality as you guys did.

its littering, you should be ashamed for thinking otherwise, even though your intentions were different.

Seems like quite a few people in this thread pick them up off the seats (myself included). I see lots of other people doing the same.

At 10:00pm at the last station in the line - there's probably less people getting on/off - who knows how many times it's been re-read during the day.

I pick up other people's newspapers sometimes as well while riding - ussually when I have to move the paper from the seat to the ground - I will make sure to pick that paper up when my stop arrives. Whether or not you leave the paper on a seat so that some one else can read it that paper will enevitably end up on the floor to be trampled and torn.

Also the TTC does view it as litter. When the Metro first came out the TTC started to employ janitors to clean the subways cars at the end of each route - not sure if they still do? (either way a needless expense).

I've seen it first hand as well while working for the TTC cleaning subways cars. The amount of crap - newspapers or otherwise that people decide that its someone else responsibity to clean after them. The only thing that we can do is take responsibilty for our own actions - if you want to read the newspaper get one at the station and recycyle it when you're done - otherwise you are contributing to the mess.

that and spitting on the bus/subway.

I want to kick ppl in the face when i see it.

Clipping nails, spitting, picking their nose are things I haven't seen but if I did it would drive me nuts.

I also hate when people blast their music off a cell phone, it's NOT your own private bus ffs.

Same with letting people OFF the bus/train and streetcar before you get on.

Smelley people or nasty smelling food usually can be fixed by opening a window but still...same with people farting (sometimes it's like they took a dump in their pants...) just the worst.

I once sat on the vomet comet (blue night) with some other drunken people and ended up next to this chick where it was the first seat I found while walking towards the back of the bus. She had a hissy fit and freaks asking why I sat down next to her, blah blah. I kept poking fun at her after that calling her princess, haha. Stupid bitch...

Worst thing I've experienced though was this older dude, (40s) totally wasted out of his mind get on the yonge/union line train and piss his pants literally to where the urine was running down the traincar along it as it was moving, so nasty. Blah.

I hate people on transit sometimes.

Not that long ago I was on the subway on a friday night, heading to Vola. And a group of young, VERY drunk guys were in my car. Anyhoo.....the subway car was pretty packed, and one of the guys starts puking EVERYWHERE and didn't stop. His friends started tossing old newspapers under him. I have to admit, I thought it was was pretty hilarious. It was probably so embarrassing for the guy, because there were so many ppl watching and laughing at him.

I guess those old Metro newspapers that get left on the subway come in handy sometimes ;)

So happy I found this thread. Here's another addition to this threads croc of TTC behavior: Please do not take off your shoes and socks and start rubbing your feet. For s sakes, do that at home. This happened last night. I was riding the Yonge line home and a elderly disgruntled female got on at Bloor and took off her shoes and socks, crossed her legs and started rubbing her feet near another innocent girls lap. Disgusting.

as long as no one is breaking the law then I say let them do whatever it is they are doing. If you don't like it then go get a car.
