ing liberals.

Hopefully we can vote some true conservatives in office come November & take this country back. Deport the illegals or make it law that they can be shot on site. :whip:

Ok, so if a bunch of recently immigrated arab americans or mexican americans showed up to a fourth of july parade wearing their country of origin's flag bandanas and tshirts, that wouldn't be provocative?

kicked out of school is rather harsh, but you don't know the culture of the school, and it may have been for the students own safety.

don't take everything you read for face value

in Arabia or Mexico it would not be offensive.

Yeah i saw it on the news last night , one of the kids was also wearing a Tshirt with a confederation flag on it . The mexicans kids were all gathered up to one side of the school field angry at this event ... i can't believe that even on 2010 there is still this kind of bull going on at schools .

I agree. Every president in the past 40 plus years had faced this problem with illegals entering this country & trashing it. None have done about it.

where's the Confederate flag?

I'm confused... aren't all these students Americans? Who is being disrespected by the display of our shared national flag? Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It has nothing to do with America and is more of a creation here by beer companies than anything else. This is what happens when identity politics curriculum is pushed in schools, and kids are encouraged to believe they are "different" and "more special" than other American students. We've entered a pretty strange world when the image of an American flag is considered "incendiary" in America.

yeah I think the whole confederate flag thing is stupid. I live in the south and I see it all the time when I drive outside of the city, and just shake my head and chuckle to myself. either way, the issue here isn't about the confederate flag or just that person would have been suspended.

I would have thought you would have had one on the back of your truck right next to the Bush/Cheney 04 bumper sticker. :p

Crazy? Remember- I've only been living in Charlotte for a few years. I'm from ultra liberal Boston and spent most of my life in Florida. Sometimes I feel like an alien here, but for the most part the people in general are really nice... much nicer than in the Northeast.
