‎"Why don’t I believe in God? No, no no, why do YOU believe in God? Surely the burden of proof is on the believer. You started all this. If I came up to you and said, “Why don’t you believe I can fly?” You’d say, “Why would I?” I’d reply, “Because it’s a matter of faith.” If I then said, “Prove I can’t fly. Prove I can’t fly see, see, you can’t prove it can you?” "

It's so radical and so unique. You must be young and therefore privy to that cutting edge.

How novel, you're thinking.

well to me god is real, eventhough i dont believe in him, just because so many others do and their act on gods behalf affect me directly as im part of humanity and the world. it seems i cant really put words on what i mean maybe someone could say it in a better way. and yes the world got pretty smaller when we discovered it was not the center. not in metres of course but in a sense of importance. harry potter isnt a real person (well maybe, i dont know) but harry potter does still exists. its a perfect example of what i mean but having a hard time explaining. example my GF wants to see harry potter on movie theatre. it affects me directly having to make my dinner myself that night. therefore harry potter isnt just a fantasy - its real. help me someone explain this better. another example; if it wherent for god id never been in a church playing an organ pipe because the church wouldnt be there. not to mention all the war and violence in the world. its real to me.

All you're saying is other people's beliefs and practice of said beliefs affects your life indirectly. That doesn't mean said belief is true, or, that the god they worship is real, simply because people around you worship it.

I think the point he's trying to make is that the concept of God is real and has a demonstrable impact on the human world. Essentially, whether or not a god exists is less important then the strength of belief in said god. It's a reasonable position to advance.
