THE charts, obviously.
euphoria
Anything that is over 6 or 7 + years old, and was good when it came out and is still enjoyable to this day.

ie:

Sonorous - Protonic (Ronski Speed Mix)
Alibi - Eternity (Original Innercity Mix)
Jose Amnesia - The Eternal
Solarstone - Seven Cities (V-One's Living Cities Mix)

Not sure it always fits that bill, Ferry Corsten is far from ambient. I used to call that stuff Hard House before they invented Hard House which is different again, possibly 20bpm diffferent though I could try looking it up in wikipedia to see what they think.

Yeah, I was perhaps a bit narrow-minded I said that. While classic "trance" might be a mix between acid house and Detroit techno, uplifting "trance" might on the other hand be a mix between space ambient (think Jean Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulz etc.) and hard acid techno.

I personally count Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode trance, because of the synths.

Good thing whatever I count it as has abso-ing-lutely nothing to do with reality.

Classics too to me:

Luxor - Superstitious (1994)
Alien Factory - Tomorrow (1994)
Alien Factory - Destiny (Alien Factory Remix)
Sunbeam - Outside World
Microwave Prince - Trancemitter Online
Exit "EEE" - Eye Laugh .........., almost forgot how awesome this one was.
DJ Hooligan - The Culture (1994)
Komakino - Outface (1995)
U.S.U.R.A. - Trance Emotions (1998)
Moon Man - Don't be Afraid (1996)

Ultimate dream trance classic: Nylon Moon - Sky Plus (Over The Sky) (1996)

Not trance but a massive classic: Phase Generator - Suicide (1993)

I could start using phrases like Hard Trance and Power Trance but I would probably think that through a few times first.

today some people (myself) distinguish between uplifting trance and euphoric trance, uplifting it's more emotional, classical music breakdowns etc... while euphoric is banging.

Assuming you understand uplifting the same as me, yes, uplifting trance has an ambient influence on the breakdowns.

I can't see hard acid techno influence that clear... in hard trance terms possibly, what is labeled hard trance it's often labeled techno on different sites.
