To be fair, I listed about 25 tunes and you picked out only 1 that you thought was funny. What about the others? I used to go to Cream in 1997-98, got brought up on what i would call classic trance from the Oakenfold era. I do know what I'm on about. I could list another 100 tunes from 1994-1999 that are classic.
I added a few like Motorcycle, Tiesto, Corsten just to give it a bit of range and not stuck in 1997. Tiesto's Traffic is a quality tune, maybe not classic, that's just an opinion. I've seen many DJs play that tune at some of the best clubs in the world for 5 years and it still gets a great reaction. It will be remembered for a while yet, no matter what you think. Another Tiesto tune would be his Adagio For Strings remix, which is a classic.
I used to watch Oakenfold play tunes that nobody else was playing, thinking that's not a great tune what's he doing, then 3 months later he was still playing it, he MADE some of those classics and they were great tunes. Popular opinion helps to define a tune too. Depends what you mean by classic? Technically? Popularity?
I suppose I'm saying "lol" is not a balanced argument.

You posted a lot of good tracks, but Traffic and As The Rush Comes stand out a lot from that list. That said, Rebel9 derives most of his cyber-self worth from knowing more about trance than other people.

When it comes to Traffic that is all that's needed.
