- are allowed to punch each other in the face repeatedly
- play 82 games a season, then the playoffs
- get hit repeatedly by players over 225lbs on a sheet of rock hard ice
- have to block galvanized rubber going over 100 miles an hour
- have to have stamina to play long shifts in one of the fastest moving sports on earth.
- play in a league that per player has more severe concussions than in the nfl. (i'll cite it later, there was an article on this a few months back.
are less tough than:
- players who play once a week for 16 games.
- players who play 5 second bursts with 30 seconds rest between plays
- players with much more equipment
- most players on the field doing nothing more than shuffling a few steps and throwing their hands up.
have you ever played football nou?
as someone who has played and been injured in both sports before (and i played a long time, not just a year as a kid)...the extent of injuries and danger that i saw playing both sports was way higher in hockey. I love football, and they are by no means wimps, but they are nowhere near being as tough as you think that they are.
aussie no rules and rugby all over it too.

i can't wait to hear you rant on how i am wrong, all while having absolutely no experience to be able to properly do so.

There is no way you can deny that baseball is a game of immense physical and mental talent.
I dunno about physical talent, have you seen the guts on some of the pitchers? A lot of the players are horribly out of shape, they can't even make that first base run.

Anyway back on topic: Soccer injuries.
ing biggest pussies ever.
Its so hilarious when they lie on the ground faking like they are in horrible pain just so the player they ran into gets a yellow card. Two seconds later they are back up and running around fine. Biggest pussies ever.

we have those in hockey too, but they can read.
EricB.
I personally think baseball is the easiest sport to go pro in as an athelete. How many athletes who were football players or basketball players first were able to play baseball PRO on their offseason. Handfulls. No other sport can an athlete just pick up and go pro lol.
baseball isnt athletic its pretty simple. you just got to be able to like the game. Take it from a guy who hates the sport but tried it out one season and rocked the out of it. Its a very very very simple sport to play even fat chicks can play it well

name me one sport where players dont dive to get calls. The only difference with soccer is that free kick could be a deciding factor in a game so its worth diving more.
