I find the OP funny. Cuz I am one of 'those'
Yes - I do not like real footy.. I love american football. I do not feel like I have to justify my rooting for them to anyone.
I don't like swimming yet I root for USA every 4 years.. I think the arguement is stupid and lame. Who cares? |

While physical violence and hard pounds in hockey are somewhat normal its not 90% of the game which american football is. Rugby is probably the only game that can compare. |
I was going to bring up Rugby... Granted the tackles in American football are a lot harder but Rugby players wear no padding and have to last the entire duration of the game on the field and are just as big as their American football counterparts.
I guess the biggest Qualm i have against sports in general in the states is the trend of stopping play regularly and this concept of TELEVISION TIMEOUTS? |

Anyway back on topic: Soccer injuries.
ing biggest pussies ever.
Its so hilarious when they lie on the ground faking like they are in horrible pain just so the player they ran into gets a yellow card. Two seconds later they are back up and running around fine. Biggest pussies ever. |
Bigger pussies than the leagues here where, if the player gets ejected , the coach can always replace him instead of having to play a man down ? Or if a player is tired , give him a rest for a bit and bring him back on later instead of being faced with the problem of whether to sub him for good as is the case in soccer. |

If only we had 400 hundred pound players with the ball taped to their foot and running over players involved, we could include American money in the football world.
Stupid FIFA. |

What a , right? |
Of course there are real injuries, but its funny when you see someone get slide tackled and he falls down and hops right back up and the ref is bitching at the person who did the slide and then all of the sudden the player who got tackled falls back to the ground clutching his leg like a little bitch. |

How does that make a player more of a ? :conf: |

Anyway, like I said soccer is a fun game to play, but its boring as to watch. There is simply not enough going on to keep me interested. |

The odds can be against you when the opposition has an extra player right? Being a man short means that others have to exert themselves harder to compromise for the extra open space the opposition players may be able to find on the offense.
If they implemented such a scenario in the leagues here, you would see less fouls and subsequently stoppage of play. |
