This is pretty sick news. But what will his act be like? Play a track or 2 while some crazy lights flash behind him? The music acts at award shows are never more than a few minutes long. |
maybe he'll be the running dj throughout the show that comes on before and after every commercial break but with a lot more production than previous years |

thanks guys... *huge* win for Toronto Canada and EDM!
defo going to inject 1.2 billion viewers into electronic music which is going to stimulate the EDM scene no doubt, of course, theres always the arguments from the scenesters of "waaaahhh we dont want it "mainstream" ... but im doing it for other reasons really... just think, with more people on board, EDM artists and labels will have more support, which grants labels, artists, event organizers alot more in terms of manifesting their passions. It's not about me, it's about creating an influx of change to a constantly evolving music culture. |

Good stuff mang. Attract the casuals and leave it up to them to go deeper or not.
Are you gonna play 30 secs of each of your biggest tracks and put it into a minimix or something for your act? |

Remember My Name Its With The Letter A Not er Thanks For Thinking About Me When You See It
Afrojack Is Sub Par To Me He Says Mickey Mouse Is On A Higher Level To Him Which Isnt Hard I Know 2 Year Olds Who Have More Rhythm Then Afrojack He Said Know Mickey Couldnt Hang With A Higha Level On His Best Day
Mickey Mouse & Afrojack Could Never Be On My Level They Are Both The Same In My Eyes Sub Par DJs & Producers They Should Stick To Tweeting Because Musically They Are Kindergarden

Mickey You Dont Know What Your Talking About
Mickey The Reason Your Scene Is Dying Is Because The Music Is & So Are The Overpriced Live Shows Producers Who Are Imitation DJs Should Not Try To Act Like DJs They Waterdown Things Because They Dont Have Knowledge Of Music
Mickey You Do Belong On MTV With David Guetta & Freddie Le Grande Try To Pitch A Show To MTV Beside The Hills & Jersey Shore Call It Lundys Lane
Mickey If You Really Cared About The Scene You Wouldnt Pretend To Be A DJ Just Be The Below Average Producer That You Are & You Would Tell Your Boys In The Industry To Stop Overcharging The Audience
Mickey You Dont Know About Music Or Music Culture Or Where Music IS Going Your Years Behind Your 2010 Roxbury |

| Great job mau5! Great for you, Canada and EDM like you said! The more people that get exposed to it the better for all of us! |

I don't know about that....one could easily argue the bad outways the good....depending on who's perspective you are looking through. |

How is this a huge win for Toronto or Canada???
The only true winners here are you, your employees, and maybe EDM. |

I can easily see the other side of the argument as you're speaking to. But I've always wished for the days where EDM takes over e like Nickelback and Rihanna at the clubs here in Canada. Where the UK has superclubs like MoS and GK but we dozens of clubs that play country. I see it as more exposure to EDM = the less exposure to Nickelback. |
