But 22 strait months of spending more than revenue received is ing ass backwards, and anyone with an economic brain knows that's not how you improve an economy. Growing government doesn't help, it hinders. I know that doesn't jive with your Statist dreams but that's the reality. We have GOT to cut back on this ing tumor that's demanding ever more sustenance from its private sector host.
OK, lets stop the two massive wars that drain billions of dollars every week. Lets stop giving tax credits to oil companies and other large private sectors that make billions and billions in profits.
The problem Kevin is that we as a country provide very poorly for our populace already and we cant even afford that. We are ed. If we cut then we cut already very basic and poorly providing services and go back to 0.
So yea. Sorry if pessimism is being realistic, but if you don't want to be hung in the streets when the poor radicalize and start mob justice against the haves then you will convert now and support taxing the people that can afford it. Your head on your body will cost you money.

The bigger problem is that we have a populace that needs to be provided for.

I do find it amusing someone caught onto the Futurama part
as for me I never claimed to be an enlightened one; so I have no reason to be angry
at any rate though I also find it amusing that people would get angry over the economy which has multi billion dollar corporations and banks that are being bailed out; and then Obama's sensationalism of not being born in America or not being Muslim.
In reality though these are all agendas playing out before thy eyes; an all agenda to further divide and manipulate the weakest minded people who are dichotomistic racists human individuals;
lets segregate 18% of the known population into a belief structure. . .
This isn't science; this is politics; what ever you say in politics is used to manipulate the masses into a centralized belief, control the horde, control the existence of sociological imagination
I am not enlightened, but that does not mean I have a valid point to make about how I see this world.

wow you referred to me as someone from the 1960's with pop science references. . .anyone who has the dignity to refer to people as being hippies must know they profiled an individual much like white people profiled negros back before the civil war in the US. . . welcome to 2010; where the idea of being racist now includes hippies, but hippies have no color of skin; it is just an idea people hate; just like muslims hate on people who are not muslim and they try to enter the temple of worship.

"Poor" people here get a government debit card with new money on it each month, have flat screen tv's, children sporting Nike's, and cars. I would check out other countries' "poor" populaces for perspective before you make a comment like that.
That being said, prosperity and economic growth do not happen by ramping up taxation. Why should anyone hire or grow their businesses right now when doing so will give them a bigger target on their back? The current policies DON'T WORK. Doubling down on more of the same will make it worse. We must move in a different direction. Soaking the rich won't do ; they can afford to dig in and protect their assets.

Because you grow your business for the better of society, not only yourself. Thats what this country was founded on, the growth of business to provide for society via being a generator of money for the government to then spend on social programs to bring more people up and into the work force.
You seem to think "TAXES BAD" when thats the only reason a business is allowed to exist in the first place. Its called a system, and it works pretty much alright in every other country on this planet.

You couldn't be more wrong, and have bought into the biggest myth about it. Do you think James Madison would agree with how you just explained the premise on which the country was founded? You should take business classes man. Businesses exist solely to make a profit, period. Everything else is secondary, NOT hand-in-hand... take the emotion out of it. The market dictates demand, and people/business respond. Nobody ever says, "We need about about 4300 jobs in this town to make the numbers work... I think I'll start a business doing/making [insert service/product].
I don't think taxes are bad... another myth you are perpetuating. Business growth is obviously good for society, but there comes a point where excessive taxation inhibits said growth and therefore inhibits society. What's it going to take for you to understand that democrat economic polices are not the answer?

I'd say this typo is instructive of just how little thought you put into your posts. They read like you're just skimming through semi-connected notions without any deep analysis whatsoever.

You're right: I am extremely prejudiced against nonsensical pseudo-mystical gibberish and its many acolytes. And please don't throw the prejudice card and remain convinced that you have some hidden meaning that conventional thinkers can't grasp because they're unable to embrace the expansive thought process. The source of my prejudice is very simple: You. Talk. Nonsense.
