That's why it should be reserved exclusively for a case like this one...
Where there is no chance of error... |
Why, because he confessed?
What about forced confessions?
Also, no one would ever confess if it meant auto death penalty. Everyone would plead innocent and then it would be hugely taxing on our justice system.
There is always going to be a margin of error in the criminal system. |

Despite comments from the judge and in the papers, Russell Williams is not a serial killer. He's a serial offender yes, but to be classified a serial killer, you need at least three murders. Williams isn't even seriously considered a suspect in anything other than what he confessed to. |
i agree about underwear, thats why i didnt find it too disturbing, big deal he whacked off in girls underwear lol (creepy how he broke in and watched women sleep though)
but regarding murder, i think that he would be a potential serial killer if he wasn't caught. Feels like that he got to comfortable knowing that after 80 break ins he didn t get caught and he could get away with anything. |

The Crown wants to seize the sex killer's Nissan Pathfinder and crush it. Police traced the killer through tire marks left by his Pathfinder found in a field near a house belonging to one of his murder victims. |
The neighbour wants the house buldozed too.
The Bernardo's Port Dalhousie's mailbox sold for a couple of thousand at auction... I wonder how much can be salvaged and sold. |

I do agree that if he had continued he would have killed again within the next 3 to 6 months. What I find kind of interesting is that his rank may have actually led to his capture indirectly. If he was a junior officer, he likely would have been posted more often, giving him more opportunities to offend and making it harder for law enforcement to decipher a pattern. In that event, it's quite likely that his murder spree could have gone on for years.
Now Williams gets to have the same occupation as Bernardo: guinea pig for criminal psychologists. |

Newspaper reports from the 12-13 Feb talked about that potential link, but police haven't gotten anything out of it. Personally, I think it's just one of those weird coincidences. |

canadian justice system == pussies.
There's pple in the US serving 400+ years in prison.....not that anything over 50 years really matters.
I guess its more bragging rights when in prison lol
parole after 25 years? WTF. He should be given the chair after 25 years. |
