Oklahoma is ranked #49 in education.

The thing is that the majority in America is white trash & they want to stay that way.

Dems arent in trouble because they were too liberal...they are in trouble because they werent liberal enough...oh and because every major piece of legislation ws blocked by the right wingers, so congrats your tactict of making dems look back to make people angry at them so that you can come back to power and the country up much more has worked splendidly :p

I love when ill advised foreigners try to interject themselves into American politics. Your above statement is silly at best. First of all, every major piece of legislation the Democrats wanted was PASSED (and done so in opposition to what the public wanted- a main reason why Democrats got whacked last night); what, Democrats couldn't get what they wanted with a 77 seat majority in the House, an 18-20 seat majority in the Senate, and a Democrat President? LOL! Nice try but that talking point doesn't hold any water. There was bipartisanship at times but it was in opposition. Clinton was out there telling House Democrats they'd be rewarded for voting against the wishes of their constituents on Health Care... OOPS!

What was rejected last night if not liberalism? A wave of people were elected that were the antithesis of the liberal agenda. And you say this happened because liberalism wasn't pushed harder!? Do the math man- the most recent ideological identification of how people see themselves in this country is 20% liberal, 35% independent, 42% conservative. As I referenced in a previous thread, force a liberal agenda onto a populace that's demonstrably non-liberal and you get a backlash... plain and simple.

PKC, dont you know by now, what most of us consider fairly right wing ideas are to kev radical leftist ideas...borderline communism really :p

Tell me right now which ideas I hold that are radical instead if always trying to paint me with that brush. What, I'm radical because I want fiscal responsibility practiced by our politicians? How am I "radical"?

the supreme court decision that encompassed campaign donations was a ing disgrace.

Yet the Democrats still got more donations in this election from public sector Unions than the GOP got from eeeeevil corporations, and they spent more money than the GOP overall on their campaigns. Those of who you scream down the Supreme Court decision do so primarily because you think it will benefit Republicans... otherwise you'd be against the public sector union tactics of donating hundreds of millions of dollars to only Democrats. Plus, Obama got 70% of donated Wall Street dollars in his presidential bid... a first.

Just 2 years ago, the American electorate was praised by so many of you as finally being enlightened when Obama was elected. Now they're back to being dumb less than 2 years later... lol. Good theory.

And WTF is Jeff talking about with health care polling well? It most certainly is not- 58% or so still support repeal... and virtually every House Democrat who voted for Obamacare was ousted last night.

When watching all your election adds/debates, it amazes me how apparently each election people are happy to hear the same superficial stories over and over again. "Change", "Greatest Nation in the world" (come one people, we ain't the 1970's anymore, wake up :p), "godgiven potential", "cut taxes", "stop spending", "stop lobbyists".

I mean, If I'd live there, I would feel so frustrated that there are never people who step away from this simplistic way of doing politics. I assume those people exist but never get a chance to compete against the multimillion dollar funded candidates. Having something like political television adds is a joke if you claim to be the most democratic nation in the world.

The sad part is, this simplistic American way is actually being used more and more in Europe as well, mainly by extreme right orientated parties. If I listen to some of Geert Wilders' speeches for example, they are as shallow as those of the average American politician.

If only people would be more educated and open to inform themselves more deeply into issues, perhaps this kindergarden-politics might fade out.

That's a nice wish; however, you must remember that (in large part) the US actually celebrates ignorance.

As much as I wanted the Democrats to win, their performance in the election was such an epic failure that I have to concede, they actually deserved to lose. The fact that they distanced themselves from Obama's administration really played into the fallacious narrative the Republicans infested the echo chamber with and many of them just laid down and died in the face of an onslaught of utter bull. When the only thing the Democrats had to do to win this race was to tell the truth they actually did something worse than lying.

They sat in the squalor and mumbled, vaguely mirroring their opponent's ideas while exhibiting a repugnant disloyalty which only further served to erode any confidence one should have in an elected official.

IT's funny to know that American's forgot that the Economy tanked to poop under the republican umbrella.. and the great depression too? oh ho ho ho.. but let's all blame it on the Democrats and wash our hands:D .. well I know the Tea Partiers will in a way be holding the Republicans accountable.. especially for Marco Rubio he's been closely watched by the partiers! :thepirate

Always nice to be reminded just how stupid the American people are.

The classic 16-year-old ignorant mindset.

'Since people didn't vote the way I voted, they must be stupid'.

What a sad, myopic individual you are.

Kind of like the line of thought which indicates that, because an individual disagrees with you, they must be a troll.

And they are ing stupid because the reasons they use to support their decisions are based on ing bull.
