eh that is ing annoying...
dad once found 5000 dorra in a wallet on the ground and he actually called the guy to give it back... the dude was a rich international student, said thanks, gave my dad no reward and was completely unphased by the whole thing: As you said about the ipad owner: Just acted like it was bound to happen.... , the 5k was probably pocket money for the weekend...
needless to say dad has regretted it ever since :haha:
ah well, generosity is never for the receiver, you're a good person, who gives a how the other perceives or receives it: If you're only being kind to get a reward that's not generosity... definitely feels better than generosity though :p |

I've got a cool story as well, bros.
2 years ago my ipod was stolen from the house party my roommates and I were hosting at our place. A week or so later, my girlfriend at the time found an ipod (lesser model but nice condition) on the bus. She kept it and gave it to me, the sweet heart that she was.
The name on the ipod was the name of a kid I went to high school with but hadn't seen in 3 years. I told her this and she said that she saw it underneath a guy's seat. She described the guy to me, I basically concluded that it was the same guy from my high school based on her descriptions.
But because I was so pissed about mine being stolen, and because the guy was kind of a smug weird nerd from high school, I kept the ipod and didn't try and track him down. |

And Im sure when you get said lost stuff back, you show some appreciation. iPad guy was totally ungrateful. |

Like WittyHandle said. If everyone operated under the assumption ppl are s so I'm going to be what type of world would it be? If your happiness depends on things you can't control like someone praising and rewarding your good behavior you've given them power over you. |

| Traceaddict-related story: I saw ferry corsten with a few mwta's, and while sucking down cheap pbr, I dropped my camera in the bathroom. The next day I complained about it in the event thread on ta, and within a day, some guy who was lurking the local forum pm'ed me and shipped it back to me for free. The guy had never posted on the boards before and never did again after inquiring about my camera. 'Twas the , yo. |
