I found two bank cheques today. I didn't need to pick them up but made an effort to go out of my way to take it to the bank in case they could track down who it belongs to.
I don't believe in karma, but it sure as hell doesn't make me feel any worse for doing it. Karma, religion, luck... it's all a load of anyway. What it comes down to is your own morals and ethics, nothing more, nothing less. |

I play it forward. :) but srsly, u right. It didn't feel right to keep it. Big part of it was due to thinking that kindness begets kindness some time.
Who knows, maybe my crooked partner may set me up one day and I end up in some mexican gangster bathtub, with a shot gun in my face and one of his chulos recognizes me and says "yo homes, that's the dude that returned an ipad to that fukka we robbed last week" and they all laugh, feel sorry for me and let me go.
And then I get a chance to pull a practical joke on him too, by telling russian gangsters he stole their vodka... and they pump him full of lead. I bet he'd feel totally punked before dying.

$50 reward? Are you kidding me? Rich people are cheap as , I can guarantee you he'd give you no more than $5, and even that's stretching it. I remember I once did a favor for this dude that owns like 10 Chick-fil-A's in my area and all I got was a coupon for a free sandwich. |

im not a believer in karma or anything like that but i do think the more good you do you'll be straight. so that's solid of you and you did the right thing, plus it feels hella good.
once i was at a mall with a friend and i was waiting outside the store while she tried some on in like a leather chair. wedged in the side of the chair was a 17" macbook pro in a black case thing. i just went to the apple store there onside and gave it to them to give it back / ship it to the registered owner, i wonder if they did.... |
