Same here, tracks from those years ooze originality and the artists have a distinguishable sound. People say it sounds rougher than today but to me its just edgier. |

Very few trance tracks of 1990 and 1991 IMO, Dance2Trance..., my early 90's trance more is like 1992-1994 I think.
But hey, it has been a while, difficult to remember, but I think Human Resource - Dominator (1991) was a lot cooler than Dance2Trance until P.o.A.N. |

Although of course the tastiest trance came with Harthouse and Eye-Q (and to some degree MFS)

Like I said, just few trance tracks as I can remember. Age of Love, KLF, Dance2Trance and some others, but no way near to the number of tracks of a few years later.
Age of Love got popular after Jam&Spoon remixed it. |

But besides L.S.G. they mostly released too much overly repetitive boom-tssss-boom-tssss-and-1-synth stuff for my taste
I'd rather name Planet Rhythm (Genecom, Vector / Braincell) instead. |

| I cut my teeth on Trance, some 15-16 or so years ago. Around the time I was listening to a lot of FSOL and LSG / Platipus tracks. |

| Shouldn't the gateway genre be one of the, if not the largest genre - Since the majority of listeners start there? It could never be trance if that holds true, that's only large on internet forums. |
