you over the small label.
Kid_presentable
True, but doesn't this happen all the time?

and the question was more about legality?

yes it is illegal. WIll it matter. No. Besides, you can only copyright melodies and words, ie any bass or drum arrangement is free reign. What is legal is irrelevant. Will this other label have the money to actually take you to court ?

Anyways, just pretend you never signed with the other label. Get the track signed under a different name and artist. What ever you do, do not tell the bigger label as they will probably just dump you. Then when hits the fan, just deny everything. Chances are nobody will notice.

Welcome to the music bizz

lol what the , who ever made that contract is a ing idiot. IS that the current label contract or the new one ?

50/50 = 1 which is 100% . God damn this scene is full of complete dumbasses.

Change the name of the track , change your artist name and nobody will ever notice. And if they do , although given that contract , this label is also run by retards. I just don't see any potential for lawsuits. Thanks for the laugh.

Honestly , that contract means nothing.

What is net receipt ?
5 years starting when ?
Accounting ?
Rights : Exclusive to who ?

This is the funniest contract I have ever seen, I would personally pass. If the label can't even draft a proper contract, I doubt they will do anything for you. And honestly, until people start giving you advances, you aren't ready to be releasing your music. If they won't invest in you, they don't care.

IF there is money to be made, get a lawyer , make a counter contract and include 101 ways to your label in the ass. These cats are obviously clueless and if they are in the same country as you, it won't be too hard to get your money. Honestly, that contract looks like it was written by a highschool student. I mean I get a little apprehensive when NWS clauses are left right and centre but when something is void of any legal jargon, you should probably be equally as worried.
