No it's because they deeply care about what completely anonymous people that they will never meet in their life think of them, all the while desperately seeking their approval by repeatedly doing the same things that lost their approval in the first place.

I think it's quite generous to call IGK a troll, given he spends most of his time being a complete punching bag, and rarely inspires more than mocking laughter. |

Well, he is a bit deluded in that he thinks his disparaging comments have a lot of emotional impact on some of us "pseudo-intellectual emos" -- mainly me, Hal, and Nou at the moment, as far as I can tell.
