I always read them in Buffalo Bill's voice, from Silence of the Lambs. Not just the tone he uses when he answers the door for Clarisse Starling, but the varying intonations between when he's tucking in front of the mirror to yelling, "It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose, again."
I used to read it as Hannibal Lectre's but...
