Tried a glass of the Talisker 18 year at a restaurant this weekend - truly magnificent stuff. Easily in my top 3 at this point.

Where to start.... I suppose that im stuck in my ways mostly because after years of drinking alot of scotch, i know exactly what i like, and more precisely what i dont.
Glenfiddich....i wouldn't use this crap to water my grass...... ive drank rye whiskey that tastes better....
i pretty much stick to all things islay... for those who don't care for peaty whiskey.... be sure to let the world know when you discover your manhood... Its not that i don't appreciate a good highland or speyside, they just dont have nearly the complexity of a good isaly. Keep in mind not all islays are overly peaty.
I only keep a few bottles of non islay around, mainly for house guests so they dont touch my expensive stuff.
Glenmorangie - cellar 13
Highland park 15
macallan 15
the rest are all islays
Laphroaig - hands down my favorite whiskey
10 yr
18 yr
25 yr
1/4 cask
Lagavulin
12 yr
16 yr
Bunnahabhain 25 yr old
Bruichladdich Octomore Orpheus 3rd edition - peatiest whiskey in the world
Bowmore
10 yr - one of my go to whiskeys, mainly since it has great characteristics and is relatively inexpensive
12 yr
15 yr
Smokehead - Islay single malt
Non Single Malt
Compass Box - The Peat Monster
Non Scotch
Glen Breton Rare - 10yr the only single malt whiskey distilled in north america, and quite possibly the only good thing to come out of cape breton Nova Scotia since the telephone....
Suntory Single Malt "Yamakasi"

That meme is so ing lame imo. They try to sound all fancy with phrases like "disreputable gentlemen" but then follow it with "going to". Totally ruins it. The animation is nice though.
I don't really have any fav whisk(e)y, let alone a fav scotch, but I have enjoyed every Laphroaig I've ever had. Johnny Walker Black Label is also very tasty imo.
I've had more brands, but scotch and short term memory loss go hand in hand, so I can't really name any names.
