dubstep, enough said. yes i am a hater... of bad music. Someone has to step up for the TAs here. The crowd that follows is just a bi-product, like taking a dump and then the odor after. :P

What you're probably trying to say is: American dubstep. UK dub scene is pretty legit, crowd is old and music pretty good.

You guys need to get over yourselves. You're complaining about the "quality" of people attending a show you'd never even go to in the first place featuring acts you don't even like listening to. What ing sense does that make?
lol seriously :stongue:
You guys need to just accept the fact that there is music out there calling itself "edm" and there's nothing you can do about it. You don't like it? Don't support it, easy enough :p
Same reason I don't attend every party that I get invited to, gotta filter out the rubbish.

It trickles down to the underground. Guetta et all are good for us.
There's some 12 year old out there who likes Skrillex and will venture over to other stuff in the underground and make an impact on the scene.

But come on, most of the people there are just there cuz it's "cool" and will forget about it when the next cool thing happens. Just like when emo was cool and guys grew out their hair, or wore eyeliner *cough* Skrillex *cough*
Now everyone wants to hang out with the not-cool (so therefore cool) dj making the weirdest music, again, Skrillex.
I won't say they don't have good taste, since this guy is the best in the genre, but they are seriously just riding the band wagon.
Some of us are getting old, and that is part of the problem. (If you're not sure if you're "old" yet, turn on the radio and see if your childhoods decade of music has a station dedicated to it).
I can't help but think back to rock-n-roll when it was getting started.
1. Starts small, pure, underground.
2. Gets bad ettention, everyone who likes it obviously does drugs.
3. Because it's bad, it gets popular
4. becomes mainstream
5. artists like Train are now "rock"
6. falls off the mainstream and gives way to Hip-Hop
Hip-hop repeats this same cycle, then gives way to some form of elecro/dubstep....
Musical Cycle...
"I won't say they don't have good taste, since this guy is the best in the genre, but they are seriously just riding the band wagon."
Wait are you ing trolling everyone here?
Holy FACEPALM if you aren't
