funny in SF we are normally discussing if prices started below $50 and they are $80 now.
Those LA prices are essentially free to us! |

| i think markus prices for SF are pretty cheap. usually start at $10 unless its a holiday event (4th of july for past 2 years). |

if you don't mind spending some money, the W is really nice and it's walking distance to the club.
there are other hotels nearby too, im sure others will chime in. |

Getting around hwood, dt la and lax if easy. Id recommend staying downtown, that way you're a metro ride away to avalon, or union station (where u can catch a shuttle to lax for $7.)
Starwood has a sale today, the westin bonaventure downtown would work well |

Or just take the Green Line to LAX lol. As for stuff to do in LA, there is so much to do here that in my entire life I've lived in Southern California and there is still about 50% of the city I've never even thought about exploring. Whatever you do, don't go to Pink's unless you enjoy waiting for like 45 minutes for a hot dog. Look for Desi Arnez's star outside of Avalon because you'll be waiting hours to get in if you don't arrive early enough |

| if you can afford it in your budget, stay at the W Hotel. It's right around the corner from Avalon. |

| Thanks for the suggestions! How much is cab fare from LAX to one of these hotels near the club? Or any info on shuttles/buses or trains...I really don't want to rent a car. |
