Last saw Jochen at Trance Energy in the Netherlands a few years back, I knew that he would be a hit in LA! Wish I coulda been there to witness his set, but I traded off for 9+ hours on the dance floor with Markus last night and listening to Jochen's set tonight on the live stream, which is:

February 18, 2012: Best night at Avalon in recorded history! :D
Absolutely incredible set from Markus, who played from 9:30p to 8a! In the nine plus hours that I was there, I didn't see him step away from the decks once, just one giant lightning bolt of energy up there!
This night rivaled, even perhaps exceeded, some of my best nights in Ibiza. There were times where I could have sworn that I was at Club Space on the island!
Thanks to Markus for celebrating his new album launch in the City of Angels and shaking up Avalon with a 10.5! Let the Angels be your guide, soar on our wings as we propel Electronic Dance Music to new and even bolder heights!

Some people just naturally clinch their jaw, especially when under pressure or thinking hard. Most people don't even realize they are doing it when they do. Not saying he was just clenching it naturally...but I have never heard of anyone, nor have I been around Markus and heard of him appearing to be under the influence of anything over all these years. He must hide it pretty well if he does considering how approachable he is.
He doesn't drink alcohol when he has gigs and that's prob a big reason why his body hasn't run itself down over time. |

i had to leave at around 4, was just way too tired.
definitely more energetic crowd than yesterday, and arnej vs markus was out of this world!
the first 40 min WAS AMAZING.so much deep techno. |
